I think it will help if they do what they did a the end of the game against Bama.
Peterson and Hawkins at CB
Coleman at SS
McCray and Taylor at FS
Jones in for Nickel

I would never let McCray cover someone one on one. I wouldn't play Eugene again unless they have to. He isn't good in coverage.

Sensible posts don't belong in the rant.

I agree with ESPN on this one.

Think about it, even with the D stinking it up (by OUR standards) we have been in EVERY game (not including FL).

Lee spotted UGA 2 TD, they won by 2 TD -- we had every opportunity to win that game.

Bama, ONE pick 6--Bama won by 6 in OT, we should have won that game too!

We're better than just a "good" team, we are still a DAMN strong football team that lacks a QB -- it happens to everyone.

hardly. why does everyone act like a 19-year-old playing in college is such an overwhelming excuse for failure? he is playing with kids in his general age range. it's not like he is a high school graduate posting up a 30-year-old center in the NBA, or a 3-A callup taking the mound in the World Series. he is playing against kids his own age, with relative experience.

I don't think anybody in their right mind would argue against the fact that y'all would be a NC contender. I gained a lot of respect for Lester when he did that. Kudos to y'all for still being ultra competitive with no quarterback.

This is mildly comforting.

I definitely appreciate that cancer coming thru for us in the SEC championship game. No RP, no second BCS championship. I wish him the best, but I get tired of people consistently taking shots at the kid.

Maybe we shouldn't throw the ball 34 times in a game where we are dominating the line of scrimmage with our run game. I feel that even with the personel we have, we could still have been a 1 loss team with a more conservative approach on offense. Maybe similar to bama's approach on offense. JPW averages around 162 passing yards a game. He has 8 passing Tds and 5 ints for a 10 - 0 team. Our Oline in better, our RBs are better, and our WRs are better.

I love Crowton and I feel he was a great hire. Good coaches know sometimes you have to adjust the offense to the talent you have. A more ball control approach would have kept the D off the field and shorten the game. Less opportunities for busted coverages with our young DBs and a more fresh defense overall. We could concentrate on having less 3 and outs further putting the D in a hole. I think you can see where I am going with this.

When we get the #1 recruiting class in the nation this year because of Miles's decision to release Perrilloux. No one will complain.

We are way better off in the recruiting world with the move preseason.

Exactly the reason, most rookie NFL QB hold a clip board the first year

instead of being asked to throw 34 passes against the No. 1 team in the nation.

Thanks for making my point.

It just shows you the doe eyed blind optimism on this board. Same excuses over and over. Blame the refs, blame luck, blame fans. Throw players under the bus. Anything to deflect criticism where it is due.

How can you not see that having to start 2 rookie QBs in back to back years would hurt? The same two QBs that would have been 3rd and 4th stringers had RP stayed. Seriously....stop with the "Les Miles is the destroyer of all that is good" crap and open your eyes.
