If Rosenberg makes it to campus, he will start. Also, how good is Brody Colvin?

Damn, I enjoyed watching Jones pitch. Can't believe he would give up baseball. I would think it would be a great fit, especially since he's a reliever.

He would have given up football if he was drafted a little higher out of HS.

Plus the lifespan of a LHP specialist in the majors is A LOT longer than that of an NFL safety and according to the ESPN guys (Orel and Peterson), he has serious MLB potential. His baseball accomplishments are every bit as impressive as his football ones at this point in his career.

I don't think you will see Jones next year. Bertuccini is more of a mid relief get out of trouble situational pitcher. If Bradshaw is not starting then he would be my pick for closing. But I think it will be Anthony R. , Ross, and Bradshaw as the w/e starters with Ott still closing.

Who knows, but after having success he might want to play baseball even more. If he learns the new D and performs well this fall it makes a case for him spending less time in spring ball. I would love to see him back on the mound for LSU.

I've heard Dean wants to come back to play a position to improve his draft status. Even though 10th round is very good.

People have said Ochinko will go because he won't have a position. We are supposedly getting a great JUCO First basemen that could start immediately and that would leave Ochinko out

Ochinko said on TV the day he got drafted that he was gone 100%

Ott won't move to a starter...he will stay the closer.

He doesn't have that much stamina...He's never gone more than 3 innings this year so i wouldn't expect a move.

Who wouldn't want to be Chad Jones' shoes? Top talent in both MLB and NFL - take your pick

A) Louis Coleman was in the bully last year.

B) You do realize Ott may have pitched complete games in High School?

I'm not saying he's moving, but it's just plain dumb thinking he CAN'T do it.

Too many uncertainties with Jones (FB), Dean, and Ochinko, and our pitchers next year but best case;

C - Gibbs
1B - Dean (may lose to MLB)
2B - Hanover
SS - Nola
3B - Didier/Delatte
RF - Jones / Dishon(if Jones doesn't come back, or is used as pitcher)
CF - Mahtook
LF - Landry
DH - Keonoman (JUCO transfer)

SP - Renaudo
SP - Ross
SP - Bradshaw

RP - Bertucinni
RP - Mautulis
RP - Von Rosenberg (may lose to MLB)
RP - Colvin (may lose to MLB)

CL - Ott (will get chance to become a starter)

If I had to guess, I'd say Mitchell, Schimpf, Ochinko, LeMahieu are gone and Dean is staying, and that ZVR and Colvin will make it to campus.

I expect Renaudo to be our Friday guy and Ross to take either Saturday or Sunday. The other SP spot will have to be won in the fall between Bradshaw, Ott, ZVR, Mautulis, Bertucinni, and Colvin (in order of chance I think they have).

If Jones comes back it will be a bonus. No way of knowing if he will play in the field or as a RP.

If Dean goes, expect the JUCO transfer to play first. If he stays and Jones goes, he will probably play left and the JUCO transfer will probably be at first.
