Hate to be the bearer of bad news but next years team no doubt will be worse. Unless he fires Sloan, O-line coach, and grabs a stud transfer QB, it's not getting better anytime soon!

But I thought MVB was the cure to the offensive ills?

What a refreshing and not at all overreactive post. The truth is with the portal and NIL, no one in the country has remotely any idea of what their roster will be next year and coaches are going to leave every program. It's foolish to try to make a projection for next year at this point.

Woodward and BK better get a head start on the fundraising efforts. They are going to need them.

You could’ve said the same thing last year. Truth is, the portal can fill many holes. Look at the difference in defense we have this year.

what exactly is overreactive about a terrible play caller, position coach that has brought zero progression, and a need for a QB to execute? I think its realistic and not setting yourself up for failure as the homers do. BTW, Baker was already on staff and what OC is BK capable of pulling here worth a damn? Jayden Daniels are diamonds in the ruff.

The fact that it's October 1 and you have no idea who will be on roster and who will make up the staff by this time next year. As the other poster said, you could've said the same thing about the defense last year and look how that worked out.

We return all the RBs, majority of the OL with some very talented 1st year guys getting a year older, and WRs are never going to be an issue for us. Add to that a hopefully much better OC and a healthy QB. Offense will be better in 2026 or BK is toast, and he knows that.

I think defense will be fine, too. We have a very sold base laid down now, and we'll surely supplement a bit with the portal, although it won't be nearly as much supplementing as we have done this season I would suspect. Baker's likely gone, so BK has to go hit another home run hire there. I'm confident the LSU DC job will now be viewed as a high end landing spot.

Not so fast friend. IF they can keep Baker and upgrade the OC and OL coaching positions, AND crush it in the portal again, next year could be pretty good.
