Oh yeah,

I forgot we were ranked 107th in offense in 2004.

I forgot that we has absolutely no depth on the OL or DL in 2004.

Tell me again, in which game was it when Saban was made the laughing stock of the NATION for his game management in 2004. I don't remember that game, which one was it again?

Saban may indeed be a better coach than Miles but to deflect or hold Saban harmless from any losses or make excuses for anything that went wrong in his tenure at LSU is silly

Ive never claimed saban was perfect. No coach is, they all will make mistakes.

With that said, Saban is better than Miles and anyone who aruges that is just an idiot.

This season we had a walk on Dennis Johnson, 2 RSfreshman, Aghyere and Edwards and 1 True freshman logging PT along our Dline.

Go count how many walk ons and fresh played in 05.

Maybe not a "decline", but there are issues. I don't have an obsession with Nicky like some, but many could argue he's the better coach, and when that better coach is in the same division, how is LSU going to get to the SECCG? Does anyone here think that Miles is going to start sticking it to Bama in the future? I don't think so. And if LSU cannot beat Bama, then LSU is already in second place in the division and won't get to the SECCG....and this of course means no national championship. Sure 9-3 is great, but with Bama getting better, SECCG for the program is going to be difficult. Miles is a former offensive lineman and yet we have the worst offensive line i have seen at LSU in decades. Next year will be very telling of what is to come. The "sky is falling" mentality for me is that when a program begins to slip, it can take a few years to get it back on line. I don't think Les has this kind of ability to right a ship like that. So, I'm not really ready to take a back seat to Bama and Florida and let them enjoy being on top because 9-3 is just fine and we want to spread some love around. Great coaches can see ahead and correct issues before they occur so they don't affect the product on the field. Saban is settled in at Bama now and is getting things rolling. You are wearing your P&G glasses too much if you think Miles can go toe to toe with Saban and compete on the field over these next few years. For LSU, right now, the road to Atlanta is through Tuscaloosa and it's Leslie's job to take us there. That doesn't have me feeling too confident in LSU getting to Atlanta anytime soon.

I have been reading this junk for weeks. Just who would we hire that will be better and give us a better record as well?

I have not been seeing any realistic names that would be available

Kelly and Harbaugh would both be upgrades over Miles. Theoretically either could be attracted

Quit ignoring the facts to support your agenda. Can you just enjoy the fact that we got alot better than last year and have a great shot at a top ten finish? Declining programs get WORSE---from where I'm sitting 9-3 > 7-5. Don't give me this "yeah, but we could've lost two or three more easily" bullshite. We didn't lose. Good teams, good players, and good coaching find ways to win. Winning the close games is a GOOD thing. Recruit like hell, fix some coahing problems and we're good. Miles has done a good job of fixing problems in offseasons, so give it a chance. I'm not a Miles apologist, but be realistic---he's going nowhere and bitching everyday is no way to go through life

you can't rationalize with some of these tards......

you're right, it's better than the end of '04......

going into 2005, we had THIS CLASS coming in

going into 2010, we have THIS CLASS (+ a few more) coming in....we're in a MUCH better situation....

If you think good coaching had anything to do with CJ returning that punt or knocking down that pass in the end zone against MSU...

Additionally if there wasn't horribly blown coverage on the last play then we win anyway.

Yea, he was such a laughing stock that an NFL team hired him. How many NFL teams have chased Miles around and refused to take no for an answer?

The NFL goes after good coaches not good recruiters. Miles is a good recruier but an avg coach.

1-5 versus SEC West rivals Ole Miss, Arky, and Bama over the last 2 years. That is never acceptable. We have not been competitive at all the last 2 years in the SEC West. This is a good trend?

Actually it really is not... just because they may end up with same record they are not the same. I do not know why people can not understand this.

Because the pro-Miles positigers see only the record. This is really the only way to offer a defense for Miles.

If you actually watch the games, see how they are played, see what plays are called, see how many STUPID mistakes are made continually by players and coaches, and see how many dumb decisions are made in regards to clock management, it doesn't square with his record at all.

I submit, that if we continue to do these things, we do NOT continue to see positive results. It's really pretty simple.

This is true. He gets the wins because of talent.

However, if the trend continues the talent will start to trickle elsewhere. The top WR in LA for 2011 has already expressed his concerns.
