His stats in that spring game would have Les Miles rethinking his scholarship.

Max would be in the running for starter.

He had no o line and was about as effective as anyone could be. And his stats were actually very good.

Max wasn't horrible he just had no Oline and zero IQ at moments but I much rather the QBs we have now then Max was.

He is Tiger Bait now, so he sucks.

Seriously though, he got worse here each game.

All I know is this:

-I hope he starts for the Aggies
-We have way better options this year
-IF he plays, our dline will sack him multiple times

If he starts for the Aggies, he will win more games this season than whoever ends up at QB for LSU.
This program was left a mess by Ogre with mid-level SEC talent and No depth.

If max stayed he would be in the competition. Probably even favored as the starter.

Wrong

And his stats were actually very good.

They were good, not “very good.” He was serviceable and quite tough. He just isn’t a pocket passer imho.

Maybe, it depends on how he is used. Rolling out, he was more effective. In the pocket, not so much. I always thought that we were trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. Changing OCs really hurt his productivity. I get that his TD to Interception ratio is great, but series to series, he was woefully lacking. It is why he disappeared against the better teams imho.

So, to be clear - 60%, 27 TDs, and 6 INTs is "good" but not "very good".
I wasn't a Max fan either, by the by.
