Old gold is LSU's colors, not yellow. If anything this is how the uniforms should stay with OG pants instead of the white.

Dude, you don't have to reply to every single post in this thread.

I didn't, just the ones that upset me. It's 7:30 AM here in Portland and my coffee just went sour. Nike has just "Oregonized" LSU's uniforms. You could always tell when LSU was on TV, one look at those classic, classy uniforms. If Nike makes a better uniforms, fine, use our colors and our scheme. I'm a 69 grad and grew up in BR. LSU wasalways familiar and comforting to me. Living in Oregon and having Nike and the ducks crammed down your throat makes you appreciate the LSU tradition.

Makes sense.
I'm 43 and love our traditional uniforms. And yet, I actually like this. This isn't "Oregonizing" by ANY stretch. There's no wings, tiger stripes, diamond plate, mesmerizing color changing of the helmet or what have you.

They took the official colors of the university and made a fairly traditional football uniform with it. There's a novel concept for a "change-of-pace" uniform, and doing it without black.

As for the yellow gold, I asserted on another thread, that it's now a lemon yellow not gold. It shows up well on TV and in the stadium, but 20+ years ago, it was a darker, more muted hue, and not this bright one we have now.
