It does not matter if he went through Dawkins or not. Paying players is the issue!
And there's no proof that Wade has ever paid a player.

And again with phony accusations. You’ve been consistent in not having any proof about Wade paying players and you’ve just made another phony accusation towards me. You’ve also defended John Wooden who has even more evidence against him than Wade does. Like I said you’re a hypocrite and I guess we can add liar to that now. You have t provided a shred of evidence that backs any of your claims and you’ve attacked people who have provided proof to the contrary. You’re either simply a Wade hater or someone like Lester who can’t admit they were wrong last spring so you keep spouting false statements.

Are you trying to say there is no evidence that WW did anything in violation of NCAA rules?

Wooden was cleared. The NCAA sanctions were all related to Gilbert 6 years after Wooden retired. There was NO EVIDENCE that Wooden knew or participated in anything improper.......so says the NCAA.
Was Wooden recorded by the FBI talking about paying players? Were other coaches/shoe company employees/agents recorded confirming WW paying players? No to both. Before you go crazy about NO PROOF, the NCAA weighs ALL OF THE EVIDENCE. Those wiretaps ARE EVIDENCE.

Geoffrey S. Berman, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, announced today that LAMONT EVANS, a former assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of South Carolina (“South Carolina”) and Oklahoma State University (“OSU”), and EMANUEL RICHARDSON, a/k/a “Book,” a former assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of Arizona (“Arizona”), were each sentenced to three months in prison, and that ANTHONY BLAND, a/k/a “Tony,” a former assistant men’s basketball coach at the University of Southern California (“USC”), was sentenced to a term of probation, each for accepting cash bribes from athlete advisers in exchange for using their influence over the student-athletes they coached to retain the services of the advisers paying the bribes. The defendants were sentenced this week in Manhattan federal court by U.S. District Judge Edgardo Ramos.

The FBI arrested Auburn associate basketball coach -- and former Indiana Pacers star -- Chuck Person on Tuesday on federal corruption charges. He was one of four NCAA assistant basketball coaches and 10 people total arrested in a corruption scheme that allegedly involves both recruiting athletes to universities and directing athletes with NBA potential to specific agents, advisers and an apparel company.

EVANS received approximately $22,000 in cash bribes from current and aspiring financial advisers and/or managers, including Dawkins and Sood, in exchange for EVANS’s agreement to exert his influence over certain student-athletes

when RICHARDSON was arrested, RICHARDSON received approximately $20,000 in cash bribes from Dawkins and Sood in exchange for RICHARDSON’s agreement to exert his influence over certain student-athletes

Beginning in or around July 2017, and continuing into September 2017, when BLAND was arrested, Dawkins paid a cash bribe to BLAND in exchange for BLAND’s agreement to exert his influence over certain student-athletes BLAND coached at USC

Wade was also cleared and do you have any evidence of any wrongdoing by Wade?
Posted on 3/23/20 at 8:24 pm to Lester Earl
You’re 100% correct I should’ve been more clear about what I meant. But again most of those bribes had nothing to do with college basketball they were about players going to an agency or agents.

THIS is the problem! What does "established" mean? Where is ANY PIECE OF EVIDENCE? We have FBI wiretaps for WW. What does the LA Times have? "We talked to a guy who knows a guy that said he saw a guy who......" ?????????
EVERYTHING else in the article exonerates Wooden!

And Wade was questioned about all the comments from the wiretaps (Dawkins wiretaps not Wade) then he was allowed to continue coaching at LSU and LSU had no sanctions levied against it afterwards. You’re taking year old news, things that have been settled already, and using it as a weapon to bash Wade with. None of this is new information and there is no investigation currently into LSU basketball so why are you doing this exactly, because you think HBO is news and Dawkins tells the truth? Lol seriously?
Btw I’m still waiting for proof that I said I was in favor of an unethical program.

This post right here is 100% hypocrisy. If you can’t see that you’ve got some axe to grind with Wade.

Wade is a cheater and liar FIRE HIS arse

Wade is pretty scummy but that’s college basketball. They are all playing this game.
I wonder how much it cost to get Zion if Reid was going for more than 100k.
I know it was out that Miss St offered Cam Newton around $250k or something. I wonder what Auburn paid.
Tua must have cost a fortune. Fournette was surely expensive as well.

This guy Dawkins has claimed that because he wasn’t convicted on every count over 2 cases it means he was totally innocent and that his conviction is a conspiracy. Yea seems like a guy who wouldn’t make anything up.

How about this quote from YOU.....
"That’s the kicker, the “ethics” argument. It’s completely ignorant of the situation to begin with. The shoe companies control the entire sport of basketball from the AAU level to the NBA. It’s their game, their rules and they’re the ones in charge of the money for recruits mostly."
So, according to you, WW should ACCEPT that college BB is corrupt (controlled by the shoe companies) thus making WW corrupt.
You said, "It’s their game, their rules and they’re the ones in charge of the money for recruits mostly."
Again, WW should "participate" in and with this corrupt/unethical situation.....thus making WW corrupt and unethical.
Here's another gem from you...."So if we want Wade to take on the sport of basketball in the name of ethics and try to reinvent the wheel so to speak, see how far he gets doing it."
Translated.....WW should, and we should accept how corrupt the game is. WW should "participate" in this corrupt system ("see how far he gets doing it").
How about this...."To watch people who have no clue how college basketball recruiting works lecture us and condemn Wade based on ethics is laughable."
Translated.....Since we don't agree with this corrupt system, we should be quiet and accept this corrupt system (that you agree with).
Is that enough confirmation that YOU support unethical coaching/coaches?
Posted on 3/24/20 at 12:35 am to Irish LSU Fan
Lmfao no not at all since you gave exactky ZERO examples of what you alleged. When you posted the word “translated” you killed any credibility you might have had. Saying that the very people who run basketball have set up a broken system doesn’t mean I approve of it. Saying if Will Wade took on the system it would be his undoing doesn’t mean I approve of cheating. I didn’t even say I believed Wade was cheating and the fact that you left out that important detail while suggesting I said the exact opposite proves you’re lying and twisting statements like you always do. Nowhere in that pathetic smear and spin job did you prove your allegation so I’ll ask you again, where did I post that I’m in favor of corruption?

I’ll ask you another question about your silly little theory. You keep saying Wade is hurting “our program” with these mysterious violations the NCAA didn’t find but you claim to have secret knowledge of. So who’s providing the money for these ridiculous payments? If Wade isn’t paying out of pocket and it’s not the shoe companies it must be LSU right? So how is Wade hurting the program when they’re the ones shelling out the dough? And where was your sky screaming when Johnny Jones was paying players and “hurting our program?” If you believe Dawkins then you believe those pay sheets with Jarrell Martin and Tim Quarterman are real and Jones was dirty too so where were you then? Why aren’t you crusading for our entire athletic department to be fired? Go ahead and take your time I’ll wait.......

How do you know things have been settled? A single meeting with the NCAA doesn’t constitute an “investigation” but it doesn’t close the door. The NCAA is up to it’s arse in alligators because of the NIL laws and fallout from COVID. I doubt they’re done with all their investigations.
Let’s hope nothing comes of any of this but we aren’t going to know for a while.

I mean since the original report and trial, several schools have gotten notices of allegations... last I checked LSU isn't one.
Also, if something was up with Smart, you really think after interviews and meetings LSU would have let him play that postseason and then the entirety of this season?
