New stadium in Omaha, not small ball/homerun related

I'll say this about the park I hate how it plays so big and you have teams averaging like 2 runs a game or less. (see UCLA so far)

But the stadium is very modern and is a great place to watch a baseball game. I never went to the blatt but It has that major league type feel of a stadium. Maybe they move in the fences, but I hope they at-least change the balls soon.

It's a very nice stadium. However, if we don't either change the balls or the bats in college baseball, being a nice stadium doesn't really mean much.

TDAmeritrade Stadium feels like you're entering a shopping mall rather than a ball park.

At Rosenblatt you could spit and no one cared or even noticed.

At TDAS you keep waiting for someone to tell you to wipe your feet or remove your shoes as you enter.

Rosenblatt had wood seats and steel girders. TDAS has plastic seats with aluminum trim.

Rosenblatt was a baseball temple built on a hilltop. TDAS is a baseball kiosk built on a landfill swamp at the lowest point in Omaha where the playing field is lower than the Missouri River that runs less than a quarter mile away.

In Rosenblatt you could feel a breeze all the time. In TDAS the only breeze is created by the hordes of gnats which are angry because they've had their swamp stolen from them.

I miss Rosenblatt. I hate TDAS.

I was hoping for cool weather and a nice breeze. We got the low 80's which was perfect. NO f'in breeze in any of the 4 games we went to. Building the stadium in a hole would help explain that.

The question is about the stadium

It's a nice park, albeit a bit bland and "corporate". The bottom line is it's the same crowd, whether it be Rosenblatt or TDAS, so nothing has really changed. They still blare in OAR songs. Beach balls are everywhere. Tons of kids are running around and the Tiger fans are as loud as ever. The color of the seats have changed, and the big blue grandstand overhang is gone, but you can watch the game SRO from anywhere on the concourse, which is a huge plus. There are also plenty of bars within walking distance, which makes for a more fun postgame hangout. The venue has changed, but the CWS fan experience is no worse. In fact, it may be better.
