If only this could have come before graduation in may. I got lucky my first year with a BCS win then got screwed and went down hill till this year. Awesome time to be a tiger....wish I could stretch it out some more.

You mean the same one we had with Matt Flynn?

praise jesus we actually have a smart quartback who can throw and make good checks.. like that ole miss game when he checked into that qb run.. just think what he can do when they let him loose

Just curious, not flaming, but why couldn't your "real" QB beat out Lee or Jefferson this year?

Miles plays him to protect his weak psyche and from shattering what little confidence he has to begin with. And i think everyone knows who im talking about

Help me man, I watched LSU a lot this year but not because I'm a fan. I don't know the "ins" of LSU. If Mettenberg was clearly better than Lee or Jefferson as some here seem to insist, he'd be in the game, no?

Les wasn't gonna start him over his senior QB's. No matter how good Mett/Rivers/Randall were.

For some inexplicable reason, Miles had a blind spot when it came to JJ. In just about every other position of the field, if someone isn't performing, or a backup is performing better, changes happen. Perhaps he was just infatuated with JJ's athletic ability and tried as hard as he could to mold him into a good QB and leader. I don't think we'll ever know, but hopefully he never develops that kind of toxic infatuation with another unproductive player again.
