If LSU is serious about a new baseball coach, get someone top echelon like Schlossnagel, Pat Casey, Sullivan, etc....just not sure if you can get them to leave their school.

This is one of the premier baseball programs in the country and should be a dream job.

I would think LSU's baseball revenues are better than anyone else in the country...please tell me who makes more profit from baseball than LSU, i am too lazy to look it up myself...

how many times does this point need to be refuted? actually winning real life games in omaha is what matters for elite programs. national seeds don't mean squat.

. Wow you are a special one.

real life where wins on the field are the top priority

National Seeds require a lot of wins on the field

you're right. if lsu fired mainieri after this season, there is literally NO ONE who would take the job. the program would have to be shut down.

Nobody better would because of unrealistic expectations like your dumbass puts on the program

Once in 13+ years. Nobody would be an upgrade to PM. You fools just see a team winning here and there and think oh he must be a good coach because he won a game or two in Omaha without ever following that same coach throughout his career and realizing he coaches bad teams all the time that are way worse than this LSU team. Nobody has won more than PM in the toughest conference in the country. Nobody will consistently put LSU in the position to win a national championship more than PM. Every single coach mentioned in this thread has failed miserably but nobody follows them enough to mention that. It's a different game now I don't see why nobody can understand that. There's not going to be one team that's going to dominate college baseball.

If Paul is here for at least 3 years like you said, why name coaches now? In that time, there can be numerous coaches who become the "hot" names while some your listed guys might not be so hot by that time. This thread is not needed yet.

cpm has become the next JJ. He is not committed to excellence. Was too lazy to hire top ranked assistant coaches. He took the lazy approach and hired graduate assistants (Gibbs and Cain) who know very little about coaching. Mike Bianco wants the job and should be given the opportunity. cpm should apologize to those seniors who returned in hopes of a championship. What a shame.

CPM does not care anymore. It is obvious and shows in recruiting, coaching hires, and on the field decisions and performance.

LSU should have let CPM go to Texas and sent them a Thank You note.

Only one of these earned the hardware CPM has, but with less CWS appearances in more years of attempts.

I was plumbed by LSU excuse makers last week for suggesting that LSU is SOFT.... and it reflected the man at the top of the program. I also suggest that LSU doesn't win the close games for that very reason. Maybe we spend to much money on the program and make it to cushy. less time playing xbox and more time in the batters box might be in order.

I agree. I think you should be the new coach, or better yet, lets get Kige Ramsay.

At this point I'd just settle for a coach that's capable of getting us to Omaha and making some deep runs.
