Aah i see..i wouldnt trust it just yet..the advocate were also the ones that said the assistant director was losing his job which was completely false
we were sent an email saying that the university was cutting the funds for the band hall a week or two ago. would def love to see it happen though.

The project bid On tuesday, guess the awarded the contract to the low contractor...

Chancellor Martin is quoted in the article, looks legit.
I think the main thing is the lowest bid came in a lot cheaper than they expected.
ETA: Question though. Whats this about a new bookstore? Will it be another one just like we have now at the union? And the spot of it, "connected to the new parking garage"...they are talking about the old Box right? The article doesnt actually say where the new garage and bookstore are going to be.

Great way to spend scare state and university funds!!!
The Tiger Band can provide the university's liberal arts disciplines with a jazz funeral, since a band hall is much more important than a political science department or a history department...

Imagine an LSU football game without Pregame, or any of the chants, or the band marching down the hill...

The funds for the band hall are coming from the Athletic Department and funds raised by the Band over the last 5 years, nothing is coming from the school.
