Already has, Nakobe Dean's mom mentioned it in an interview.

LSU athletes need to learn...don’t go to Southern Univ for anything!

Lol judging by the responses you were correct in this assumption.

But yes this is going to be a problem. If it would have just been the one shooting you could brush it off as a random event but now with two in a short span of time it will be tough to explain to recruits parents especially the ones from out of state. And it will be used by Jimbo, Nick, etc. any chance they get.

It sure won't help since this story will be talked about all the time going forward on national tv.

People who don’t think this hurts are dumb.
THE NEWS of one athlete getting murdered and one having to kill someone to defend his life, in just a matter of months, will not resonate well with parents. This is regardless of whethor or not it’s a true reflection of Baton Rouge. It doesn’t matter.

“You don’t see this happening to two Tulane players, two Northwestern players, two UCLA players, do you?”........that’s what I would say if I were another coach.
Parents not from BR aren’t gonna defend BR and dismiss this unfortunate series of events pertaining to our student athletes.

That idea of thinking would make sense if black athletes refused to play at Ole Zmiss because of Colonel Reb and the confederate flag.

Kids go to schools where they can play and go pro.

Out here in Los Angeles USC is is is in one of the worst neighborhoods in the country. Yet they always get good players.

Coaches and recruiting staff have been fighting against negative recruitment about Baton Rouge violence for years. Others teams telling recruit's parents that they'll either get shot by both cops and gang members.

I live on the border of Illinois and Wisconsin...I work in Chicago...I can show you places in Downtown Chicago just south of Soldier Stadium that there exist dirt roads as the main streets..Dirt Roads...DPW won't put asphalt, etc. because it's a war zone...I get escorted into WWTP in Chicago from the City of Chicago Police in daytime hours so I don't get shot at...You think Baton Rouge is bad....Seriously...Chicago, etc. is a hell of a lot worse...20+ people die every weekend...You are not safe anywhere...

If this one incident is what deters students from attending LSU, then they’ve ignored the last 30 years. Baton Rouge is a city. A small one, but a city. Crimes happen in cities.

I am back in BTR after many years away. BTR is much less safe than it was. Having said that Atlanta New Orleans and many other cities are much less safe. Amy way there is no,reason for the Out of StAte athlete going to,LSU to be in the areas these shootings took place.

I agree that an out of state parent might not understand that.
