A&M is never going to beat us, are they?

It is like playing Mississippi State all those years. Just an automatic win.

What? 2 times since 2009 we have finished outside the top 16. In no way is lsu a bottom 3rd sec program.

I was there. The legend of the Honey Badger was born when he forced a fumble on a punt and pranced into the endzone. Completely changed the complexion of the game. That 2011 team was so god damn talented. Should have been national champions. Now I rarely reflect on that season because of the bitter, avoidable, atrocious ending.

My wife's cousin was doing this. One Duck fan wanted to debate the fear of his mascot and actually said, and I quote, "Well, how intimidating is a bengal tiger?" We had him so flustered. The duck's name is Puddles, by the way.

Well our oline was coming together our dline didn't have any beasts besides big chad and our secondary had 2 nfl players. And we had jack hunt and Corey Webster playing slot wrs that year we were so thin at the position. Most of the talent on that team was freshman that redshirted and weren't even playing the positions they played on the 03 championship team. Plus it wasn't nearly our best group of lbs we had 2 solid college lbs 1 pro the other went undrafted. I think you're overstating the talent big time.

Yes I do! Most of you are to young to remember the 70's. LSU football is always the greatest. However, I wish more for championship caliber coaching instead of hitting the brick (Alabama , Florida, defensive walls) with a chaotic predictable offense. Get rid of those purple socks. Go back to tradition old school face guards like Alabama, Notre Dame, USC, Texas A & M, etc, etc. LSU changed face guard from 1980 to present. This would make LSU look awesome and more faster and intimidating. This would be a great change to run onto Tiger Stadium looking new and improved.

2011 was not "back then". "Back then" we had the best defense in LSU history from a NFL talent standpoint and a far superior attitude. The players bought in to Miles' program.

The line recruiting started to slip and so did fan confidence, which began to erode the players' buy-in.

Except no im not. 2001 lsu is one of the 10 most talented teams in lsu history.
quote:

Most of the talent on that team was freshman that redshirted

Thats on the coaches. Redshirting a player doesnt remove his talent from the team.

2001 lsu had one of the top 5 qbs in lsu.
2 of the top 4 wrs in lsu history
2 of the 5 best lbs in lsu history

They had Joseph Addai, toefield and dominik Davis.

That team was talented as hell in comparison to other lsu teams that came before 2001.
