This thread was completely hijacked so I figured I’d change the name to represent what the thread turned into.

Or on the coaching staff? Aranda and MAYBE Brady. The rest are second and third rate AT BEST. Some are fourth quartile.

Haven’t in quite some time. And yes, this is reason we’re in the good-very good range instead of elite.

Never change dude. Always turn everything into a coach bashing post, and specifically O. There is zero chance that you are anything more than a loser.

Who knows with the young guys, it is far too early to tell. As for the veterans, you probably have 3-4 guys who will get drafted on the D line. As for the O line, the guards can be really good. Hard to guess how many will be drafted. Time will tell.

I don’t see there being enough improvement in one year to make us a serious contender esp against the Alabama’s of the world.

So you got to see the line already playing together for second year in a row with a second year coach? How did they look? Obviously you didn't see much improvement. Lol. You people kill me. You have no idea how much improvement the OL may make this year, nor does anyone on here.

Both lines will be better. Young offensive line last year, first year in another offensive scheme, and a brand new offensive line coach. If Rosenthal steps up, we have a potentially elite left tackle and that allows us to slide Charles to Right Tackle, which is much more of his natural position IMO

Apu Ika could be one day if he keeps his weight down. He’s a hoss.

The people on here who take EVERY opportunity to denigrate Orgeron and staff really sicken me. You are not really Tiger fans. Don't you realize. How this undermines LSU's recruiting efforts?

Aranda is a really good D. Coach.
Brady will coach qb and our off.
However, LSU wants to RPO, which the Saints almost never do.
So, I don't get why we think he out is going to be so successful here.

Shelvin Ika and Chaisson if healthy and weight is good all could be first or second round draft picks.

What are your qualifications for making this statement?

Is it necessary to have it to win a NC?

I wouldn't say you must have 1st rounders, but I think it's necessary to have several 3rd round or higher guys (obviously, they would be a mixture of sophs, juniors, seniors).

A 3rd round DL can compete with a 1st round OL, for example.

You just need competent lines - you can't lack at these position groups, or you won't win a NC, imo.

Probably just Lawrence. Chaisson if you consider him to be DL too. I could see Rosenthal being a 1st round OT too if it works out.
