Nepotism isn't a way to build a championship program

If orgeron pushes Canada out to hire some mediocre guy who he used to work with then he will probably seal his own fate and be gone in less than 5 years.

less than that, really. O has 2 more years.
next year will be rough - new qb, new wrs, new rb, difficult schedule. fanbase will demand success in year 3 and if he doesnt deliver, there wont be a year 4.

It’s a great way to build a whorehouse though

What? every knows that when a scenario arises where there is pivotal moment and you can hire a coach to take LSU back to title contention or make them irrelevant, your best bet is to hire a 55 year old career dline coach that has never in his life proven he can run a successful side of the ball let alone a successful program. Even 6 year old girls know thats a sure fire way to get back into title contention.

Alleva and Orgeron probably tied at the hip. If Orgeron fails it may be his last hire.

So far so good.
Nine wins with a chance for 10 and a top 10 finish in the polls in his first year.
Building size and outstanding depth on the D and O lines. Recruiting class ranked 10, 12 and/or 13 with a strong possibility to finish in the top 10.
Could be worse. We could have hired the gay guy you wanted to hire.

Not sure what kind of dictionary you're using there, but in the English language, nepotism implies kinship.
