I can’t believe we are switching our middle infield based off of the dexterity of the batter, but Jay is doing it. And what do you know, Jay looks like a genius. Just like last year.

Now could be a great time for Rantz to mention that we did the same thing last year with Thompson and Dugas. I think even casual fans would tell you they remember that.

Taking him out now accomplishes two things:

1) Gets him out with a pitch count under 40, meaning he'll be available all weekend.

2) Gets Little into the game with some pressure with a guy on base.
