LSU is the 301th seed out of 347 Division I college bb teams.

in case you re 6th grade, LSU won't be invited to the NIT or the NCAA.
To be invited to the SEC tourney, you have to be in the top 12.
2 SEC teams will not be invited. LSU will not be invited.
NIT teams either win their regular season or they have a compelling record, or they are a P5 with a .500 or better record who hosts.
There is no reason to imagine that LSU is invited to the NIT. They have no big wins. They will not have a .500 record. Crowds are not all that big.
So neither money nor quality of team indicate NIT in the cards.
* short of winning the SEC tournament, LSU won't be invited to the "big dance".
They probably won't even be able to get up to the 12th seed to even be in the SEC tournament.

Great thread. I'm surprised more people aren't talking about this. It's fair to say we are a bubble team right now, but JJ has the team playing hard and they will undoubtedly finish strong. I think a 12 seed is within reach

Uuuuuuhhhhhhhh Celtic dog all 14 teams make the sec tourney-as long as nobody is banned from the postseason (like syraclose several times over goeheim's career).

You may be confusing basketball and baseball here, but there is no cutoff for participation in the SEC basketball tournament, since all 14 teams will play. The bottom 4 teams have to win 5 games in 5 days in order to win the auto bid though, making it extremely unlikely to happen.
