Looking at Fairfield's schedule they played nobody it seems. Wonder if Beth pitches Gorsuch.

While she did look good in her forced relief appearance against South Carolina and it would be great experience for her, there's now way you take that risk. Probably will start Smith.

I'd go with Smith. She has had 2 not-so-good outings in a row and needs to get back on track.

Wouldn't surprise me, probably Smith. I am concerned with her arm and control right now. After she was nailed, she hasn't had her control back as of yet

I still think her arm is an issue. She kept shaking her arm a lot, she needs to be healthy

And the announcers briefed about the name.... I probably wouldnt be a good coach, but if i was a coach and lafayette or ULL were on the scoreboard id show umps the ncaa printout of bracket and refuse to allow my players to take field until its fixed.

Added to OP, thanks. I noticed they're changing the regional schedule to match up with baseball, I remember they only scheduled regionals over 3 days last year.

I think those brackets on the NCAA website are wrong...notice that they have all the regionals starting May 18, which is Thursday....which is not correct.

I have been clicking on some of the brackets and they are in the process of fixing the mistake. Some intern should get fired over this....

The regionals are Friday-Sunday except for Utah, which is Thursday-Saturday because BYU is there.

Not amazing. The word you're looking for is travesty. Less than half will make it out of their own regional, including LSU

I see what you were saying now, looks like ESPN corrected the issue now.

Thanks, I thought something seemed off, but couldn't put my finger on it. Updated the schedule, I still haven't seen game times for Saturday or Sunday yet.

Well maybe they will just forfeit and go home. I can promise you, the scoreboard will have ULL. The television graphics will have ULL. If you listen on the radio, Patrick Wright will call them ULL. The PA announcer will call them ULL. The Advocate will refer to them as ULL. So they just need to get over themselves and deal with it.

I don't understand what their malfunction is, the name as outlined in the State University's Charter is University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

it's very clear I don't know why they keep trying to make themselves into the University of Louisiana

Aside from the name BS, UL-L has solid pitching and some serious pop in their bats. With McNeese in the mix, this will be a tough regional for LSU to win.

Please ignore the few of our fans who care about that. They're the equivalents of the ones here on the rant who want to fire the head coach whenever the Tigers trail early in a game.

It will be a bitch for all teams to win. Everyone has their hands full. Need the offense to manufacture runs and early. If we can do that we will be in a solid position.

Like I said with UL-L, if we make sure they don't beat us with the homeruns we will be is really good shape. They are a really powerful offense mostly aided by all these extra base hits. 4 players I think have over ten hr's. We have a staff that can take on any team. I am confident Torina will have our pitchers prepared with good pitch selection. We just need the offense to score and have efficient at bats. It will be a difficult regional to win for all parties but LSU is more than capable of taking care of business.

Torina seems to always have us playing our best come post season. We are on a roll right now. The scary thing is we haven't hit our ceiling yet.

Can someone explain to me how Georgia made the field with a 6-18 conference record or Mizzou with a 29-26 overall record? Is the SEC THAT strong?

How good is FSU?? Only ACC team in the top 16.

Pretty scary good. They have wins over UCLA,Arizona, Florida.

They did lose to A&M and was swept by Oregon at the end of the season.

Not the most challenging conference but really deadly. Very balanced offense top to bottom.

Bat over .330 over 60 homeruns and 80 doubles. Two batters over .420 at the top.

They rely on two pitchers with an ERA of 1.14 and 1.41. Jessica Burroughs has a 9-1 K/BB ratio.

FSU was ranked #1 for over a month for a reason. We need to take care of our business first

It really is. Ole Miss finished 8th in the conference and handled everyone in the SECT including Florida, Bama and LSU. That itself was a statement that everyone in the conference is that good. Georgia isn't very good but they played a lot of really close ones. Their D cost them like 4 SEC wins. Their D is bad. Pitching is inconsistent but capable. On offense they are pretty good. Would not take them lightly, they could easily put up some runs in a hurry
