honestly Minnesota, ULL, and James Madison should be hosting.
If those schools hosted, who would you take host sites away from?..... serious question there only 16 slots I'm wondering your opinion

ULL better not look ahead because McNeese is pretty good

Still kinda surprised Ole Miss is the #12seed. I know they won the tournament but they finished 8th in the conference. Would have been interesting where we would have been if we had won yesterday.

wonder why they didn't even entertain the idea of a potential Oklahoma/Auburn championship rematch

LSU will have its work cut out. UL has solid pitching but we need to contain the offense but we have a staff that can do it.
I would like to see us score early and often this reional and really put the pressure on everyone. If we can do that it'll be extremely helpful

Added to OP, thanks. I noticed they're changing the regional schedule to match up with baseball, I remember they only scheduled regionals over 3 days last year.

Actually, I think if you look at the RPI, it's perfectly reasonable to see why ULL is in our regional and why they are not hosting.
Also, the committee certainly gave a lot of credibility to strength of schedule and rewarded teams that played in tougher conferences, which, is what they should do. And this explains why Ole Miss is hosting (after winning the SEC tourney) and Minnesota is not hosting (due to a poor SOS and a borderline RPI)
IMO, everything looks correct and I think they did it right.
The only question I have is about James Madison. Their RPI is borderline for them to host for a lower RPI conference. So with them being borderline, you have to wonder if another borderline team in a stronger conference with better facilities got the nod.
It all makes sense to me. Furthermore, they did a great job of balancing out the conference teams and keeping them from having to all play each other like in years past. Theoretically, you could, with this bracket, have 8 teams from the SEC at the CWS... unlike years past.

This is why Beth also loves playing top ten SOS. Sure we may lose more but the experience we obtain and its benefit to the selection committee is important

Went to middle school and part of high school with fsu's Jessica Burroughs. She's the real deal

After looking at it objectively maybe swap Ole Miss with Minnesota and that would be about it. I know Ole Miss won the tourney and are on a roll and they played a factor I'm sure but they did finish 8th in this conference. Other than that I think they got it right like I said after looking at it again without opinions on here hah.

I still think Minnesota deserved to host. I mean they came to BR and beat us, they run ruled California dominated their conference. No its not the toughest conference out there but still to do that and have a 54-3 record. Also they only played 16 of 57 games at home. I mean come on

That's also the only one I could see as well

Looking at Fairfield's schedule they played nobody it seems. Wonder if Beth pitches Gorsuch.
