You don't want the NCAA snooping around your AD for any reason, especially for a non revenue sport. Once they start it's easy for them to start looking into all. It's why so many times once a school gets a NOA it's usually multiple sports that get caught up in it.

Yep.

Once those NCAA investigators show up and start working, they're like the old song.

They keep doin' it til they're satisfied.

I don't like this one bit, there's no way the NCAA cares that much about women's tennis, to send investigators on the road.

"Women's Tennis" is the BS excuse they are using to get their foot in the door.

I wonder if anything slipped during the football and basketball coaching changes; possibly a bitter ex coach, or a booster overstepping in trying to entice the next hire.

Wonder if Fla St did something in response to us coming after Jimbo.
Or maybe that was why we stopped chasing Herman- things got compromised, and we hoped if we let him go, things would stay quiet.

We did have some money guys running their mouths during the end of Miles' saga; maybe some jackass told Herman too much about how recruiting is done here, and it got passed along to the wrong people.

Bump for some new info. Players are dropping from the program pretty quickly

The entire #1 recruiting class from last year is gone. Kinglsey never made it to campus, Lewis left to turn pro after one semester, and Becca Weissmann transferred to USC this summer.

Just this afternoon it was announced that the top recruit from this year has decommitted LINK

Its over for the Sells. One of Joes "best hires" is going to be a colossal failure that brought the NCAA into town

Question is, what did Joe know and will they fall on the sword for him in a payout....

Yup, its extremely disappointing. Some of the future recruiting targets I heard were dropping LSU this entire last month.

Joe's only decent hires to date are Torina and Wade. Wade still hasn't coached a game yet either so we will wait and see.

There are a few athletic programs who need to be cleaned up as well, including soccer, volleyball

Damn. I had really high hopes the Sell's were going to do great things at LSU. They technically did considering how shitty our women's tennis tradition has been, but nonetheless I thought they'd make us elite.

I suppose they're still going to be employed until the NCAA finishes their investigation

Honestly the only reason I think Lee and Flory have jobs is because Alleva had to replace so many coaches last season

I wonder what the story is on Debbie Parris Thymes mysteriously leaving the track program? She was a great coach for LSU.

I have zero sauces for the tennis program I'm just looking at the writing on the wall with the entire roster blowing up in our faces, though it actually isn't surprising Jade Lewis going pro. She almost went pro before even arriving at LSU. Weissmann's transfer is a huge red flag

Sucks because no one elite will come here with this black cloud over the program, it really is over. I was excited about the future, shows you how quickly things can change for a program, for good or for worse.

Yup, I like the coaches, we do need more talent but this program is pretty new so it'll take time.

I have some sources, it's pretty bad.

The team only has 5 players on it right now technically... (there wasnt even a roster up last time I looked on the website)

give me some hints on what exactly they did to get to this point please

non revenue cheating really has me fascinated-especially in a sport where you'd think the recruits are typically well off

From what i heard, one of the recruits parents from last years class was funneled cash and other benefits.

I can't believe we would be that stupid

Apparently a recruit for this upcoming class was offered cash and free tennis equipment from some merchant. I imagine she won't be looking here anytime soon now, the NCAA is probably already on her
