This would allow any player to transfer once WITHOUT having to sit out a year.

Personally, I think this would be absolutely horrible for football and make "free agency" impossible to deal with. The theft of talent by the P5 from the mid majors etc will all but seal the fate of the irrelevancy of some leagues.

Absolute disaster. Underrated kids in mid-majors will transfer out the minute they have a solid season. Recruiting classes will become half-transfers.

What a terrible, terrible decision.

You'll see just as many transfers from P5 to lower levels, as you see now.

Get ready for every player that doesn't start to hit the transfer portal. College basketball has already become a mercenary sport and CFB looks to be following suit.

True freshman/sophomore seasons for kids going to schools out of the power 5 would basically be a tryout for a move up to a power 5 school..

On the other hand It does give kids who were made false promises of playing time an escape. Or to leave a school who’s coach promised them he would be there and leaves for another job

According to that article 1/3 of all NCAA athletes transfer. I think that’s an indictment of our whole culture.

You're also going to have every team trying to poach players from other teams. You develop kid X only to see him transfer to school Y.

I think it's a great idea.
The only chance for abuse is when teams start processing players to bring in new players but that would all but kill your recruiting.
Most teams recruiting on elite level are not going to be able to accept a whole new roster but you will have a lot of backup QB's taking advantage of it.

Why the hell would any player with a rational head transfer more than once? This rule is insane. So much for teaching kids about dedication, responsibility, and teamwork.

Players should be allowed to transfer as long as school choose not to give 4 year guaranteed scholarships.

Right. So the kids not good enough for P5 that were overrated in high school go down to mid-majors.

Kids better than mid-major talent level that were underrated in high school will move up.

The net result is a severe talent depletion at the mid-major level.

I think this is great. Especially since the coaches are allowed to leave on the drop of a dime, or be fired on the drop of a dime. Players should be allowed to leave 1 time without penalty.

Our scouting department is gonna hate this. This will triple the number of players you have to evaluate, at least. Our scouting department is just starting to get on par with the rest of the sec.

How dare we treat college football players like any other person their age...the insanity!!!!!!!! The whole country is going to implode into utter irresponsibility because college football players can decide to change what college they attend....

You read it completely wrong...it is 1/3 of all college student transfer.

Because America is a culture that encourages people to look after their own individual best interests? I mean that might be an indictment of America but this rule change just make college football more like the rest of the country. Hate the USA get the frick out of here am I right?

I think it will definitely affect the qb position. Highly rated qb doesn’t win starting spot, automatically leaves Bc the backup hardly sees meaningful playing time. Bc you always see a lot of rotation at other positions that get in quality reps!
