Announcers bragging on him early saying some coaches comparing him to Karl Malone when he gives max effort. He’s only 18 turns 19 in August

His game is nothing like Malone’s. When was the last time you saw Naz filling the lane on a break and dunking?

News Flash.
quote:You arent wrong imo. They are both just big boys from Louisiana. Malone was so much more polished as a post scorer even though Naz is very young.

If Naz can get in MUCH better shape, he could be a good to great NBA role player. That is the ceiling though.

This post is a wealth of misinformation.

Malone was also MUCH more physical. I remember completely knocking a guy from rice out with an elbow, when he was at tech. This comparison isn't even close. The only people that buy it is people too young to have watched Malone.

He’s closer to Dirk then Malone. That’s if you had to compare him to anyone.

No, they are not the same type players. Malone was a way more physical player who played with his back to the goal or ran the pick and roll to perfection with Stockton early is his NBA career and shot a little more from the outside later in his career. I've said it before about Naz, if an organization lets him play the 4 spot he'll make it in the NBA, not at center though.

Saw him throw down an alley-oop against Mcneese (who had Joe Dumars) at the Lake Charles civic center and the goal had just quit shaking by the time they came back down on offense. Jerry West and Dave Debusschere were there scouting and both looked at each other in amazement.
