“Free speech will be respected and protected in Nebraska, but the lawlessness, chaos, and rioting seen in other cities in past weeks will not be tolerated here. I have taken the necessary steps to ensure we have the state resources necessary to promptly respond to disorder. Any person who poses a threat to life, health, or property will be arrested. Nebraskans across the state, as well as the thousands of visitors to Omaha for the College World Series, can rest assured that the State of Nebraska and our local partners have taken the appropriate steps to ensure security and order.”

Oh, we are and we do. Just like we did back in 2020. A group got together and decided they were going to try some smash and grab shite at one of the local malls. Then Govenor Pete Ricketts had the National Guard put a stop to it in about 20 minutes - nothing was stolen. Current Govenor Jim Pillen owns Pillen Family Farms - one of the biggest hog farms in the state of Nebraska. He meant what he said in his statement and will follow through. I'm going out to the game tonight and have zero worries.

My brother-in-law is encouraging me to take my 9mm with me. Since Nebraska is an open carry state, I can do so. I believe I will slide it under the seat of my truck - although I highly doubt I will need it. I was at both games yesterday - not a protestor in sight.
