Nothing wrong with shite talking if you can back it up.

The pmac is a shell of what it once was. 30 years ago that place was wild

30 years ago also happens to be the last time LSU was a consistent winner. If Wade is able to stick around for a while and continue his winning ways the PMAC will again be a great atmosphere for a game. Just gotta give it time to get the more casual fans on board.

the casual fan isn't the problem.
The students are the problem.

And i say this as a somewhat recent student that has attended many games as a student, and many games as a season ticket holder after graduation.

Well said.

The PMAC is loud when play Kentucky and if there's some sort of circumstance that makes the game a bigger event than is typical like that Oklahoma game when they came in here No. 1 with Buddy Hield or Tennessee with the SEC title on the line a couple of years back.

But the PMAC has been largely dead since the last two years of Dale's tenure and only comes alive like the old days once in a blue moon. But hell, that goes for football to some extent now too.

It was awesome. That was 1 year. We sucked the next year and the year before that and the PMAC sucked then too.

The PMAC crowd has sucked since the Storm Warren/Trent Johnson years.

The best I have seen the PMAC in recent memory was the Vandy game when Wade was suspended. It was completely raucous like the Dale Brown days in the 80s and early 90s. For whatever reason, it didn't carry over at all last year. It's very disappointing and quite odd.

They’re certainly part of the problem. But again, a consistent winner will draw in more students who will be more passionate about the program. From the late 70s to the early 90s we missed the tournament like, what, 3 times? Of course we had a raucous environment in the PMAC in those days.

He might be right but that should at least ruffle some feathers. Hope the few fans that are there take note.

We're missing that 25-35 year old crowd that still has some passion for the school.

The PMAC is full of old people, young families, and a terribly disinterested student section.

We try to cheer loud and bring some energy, but there's only 2 of us in our upper level corner of the arena

Hey, students, get off your phones, on your feet, show some school spirit, and try to get the PMAC engaged tomorrow night

He’s obviously a dick but, you know, if WW said this a lot of y’all would be lining up to suck him off.

that Vandy game was the craziest environment i've ever been in. I don't understand how that didn't translate to last year, where we finished tied for 2nd in the league. I'd bet you nothing much would have changed this year either after those two finishes. The students just don't give a shite about going to the basketball games.

It's very weird. Though there have been times when the student section shown (and didn't make much noise) and the rest of the fans didn't even show even when we have been good.

This guy is a mouthy little prick and when we beat them handily you can bet your arse at the end of the season looking back he’ll use the road loss excuse as a seeding argument for his team.

I’ve been making this joke all season

Alabama fans got mad at us for calling football season an asterisk season. They tried to get back at us by saying that means basketball is too since LSU is pretty good at basketball.

I said the Corona restrictions in basketball don’t have as big of an impact as they do for football since SEC basketball arenas are usually empty anyways.

Funny to see their coach admit it.

Such a good point but I don’t think Bama fans have much self awareness or understanding of hypocrisy. These people move goalpost at a speed that would make a politician dizzy.

He is wrong. LSU doesn't sell out night in and night out but with 1st place on the line against a ranked team yes there would normally be a very good crowd and distinct homecourt advantage.

It isn’t what it was before they screwed up the seating but the PMAC gets plenty loud for big games. Oklahoma 2016, Kentucky 2015 and Florida 2009 were as loud as that place can possibly be just off the top of my head. Oats is writing a check his team can’t cash and I can’t wait to see our boys make him choke on his words Tuesday night.
