Dart fricking sucked. I don’t know what you were watching last year. Just because he’s a returning starter does not mean he’s the single best option. You’re refusing to admit if there would even be a competition
There is nothing that suggest Howard would out perform him .

Then, if you dont start going into your last two years, you make the decision. You go into a program ready, a leader, experienced.
I don't see any significant programs where he can walk in and take over. He never showed that sign here.
Look at Rattler, he was terrible at OU after being thrown into the spot based on High School bullshite. Now he has stuck with it, has matured and developed and he is looking good at USC. Early playing time should be a negative in most cases.

Well there is bound to a P5 school he would start at next year. shite if he transferred to Kentucky I bet you he gets the start. If he goes to a team we just played in Purdue I bet he would start there.
But again he felt he was passed up for Nuss and wasn't going to be given the ability to play so I cannot say I blame him. I would have liked for him to stick it out beyond Spring Practice but if he leaves now it gives him the best chance to play in the fall.

Tulane? Are you fricking nuts. Their QB much better at this point.

Pratt has the Green Wave position locked up and will probably get drafted. Howard would not start over him.

The elite qbs in college and NFL spend their offseason working on their deficiencies to improve their game and be more competitive. They don't run away because things got tough. My opinion don't mean shite, but Howard running away because of the Daniels/Nuss situation wreaks of entitlement. How dare LSU treat the 5 star qb that way! Nevermind the fact that he came out in the bowl game looking like a 9th grader after spending an entire season practicing.
He needs to grow up and learn to look in the mirror to fix his problems rather than over his shoulder at what the next man is doing.

LSU is going to be ranked, should win 10 games minimum. Kelly is a good coach, the only questions were would he fit in at LSU, and how long would it take to rebuild here; he won 10 games and the SEC West in Year 1. Talent is coming in, this team will become a perennial contender.
Everything you want to be at, if you're a stud QB recruit... except for the fact that he is way behind the guy in front of him, and that guy has 3 yrs left to play.
If you do the math, think you can pass him next year while Daniels is still the starter, this is the place to be. If you reach the conclusion that you won't, you either stick it out and hope for a break, or you jump somewhere else and try to stick there.
I don't think TCU is really a viable option; they have guys returning from a playoff run. I don't think the coach there is going to bring outsiders in and hand them spots ahead of the ones on the roster, unless they're CLEARLY better. And Howard is NOT clearly better. Nussmeier would be that guy, but he seems to be staying put.

TCU must think differently because they sent the jet to pick him up for a visit.

Its like you just lack some sort of reading comprehension ability or something
By admitting there will be a competition, you are contradicting your own case

Good for them. They can take their annual arse whipping again when they actually fave real competition that plays defense and doesn’t just trot out random players on the field with zero real game planning and calling it defense.

Do people here even know what a P5 school is?
frick it...Southern, he would start for Southern.

No one knows.
Remember all the Crap said about Nuss, and other young QBs, prior to them getting an opportunity to practice with the 1st team players.
How many experts, across the nation, were questioning the selection of Bennett, prior to last season.
For Months the Rant experts have claimed he was the best QB on the team.
He has the opportunity to prove it immediately. He wouldn't have a guarantee of having the opportunity here.

There’s no logic behind any kids decisions anymore. It’s all about NIL, easiest path to the field, and the portal.
"I'd make more money and play sooner at another school" sure seems like logic to me.

I like Howard a lot and did not want him to leave. This has nothing to do with his potential. This is about whether he would be the virtual guaranteed starter NEXT YEAR at a P5 program.
The answer so far is no.
