Are you saying we must always win every game?

When a program gets to a point that it has more kickers on scholarship then LBs wouldn't you agree it will take time to straighten out a situation like that?

the rant reacts to wins and losses like the direction of the wind

I would say not just the rant but most passionate sports fans react in the moment as if the moment defines everything when it is merely a glimpse. There are 12 games left.

I can remember overreactions to early season wins and losses many times in the past, wait to let it play out.

well coached

Not so fast....

3 time-outs used in the First Quarter
3-16

Can’t draw a conclusion from a single data point. Trend is good if you use the bowl game as the previous data point.

If it ends up working out, that doesn’t make it necessarily a good hire. Sometimes poor to mediocre decisions turn out well.

From all accounts O...
- is a good position coach
- is a good recruiter
- loves this team
- loves this state
- was terrible at Ole Miss
- did a good job twice as an interim head coach at major programs

It’s not like we pulled him off the street. Given the knowledge at the time he was hired though, it was a bad choice for a premier program like LSU.

I’ll be happy as hell if it works out. I like the guy and am rooting for him.

So O can be that rah rah guy who btw also is known to be one of the best coaching Dline. Which is pretty important n the Sec. I like this staff. Anyone still ? The McMahon hire ?
On the McMahon hire...

Wasn't sure what that was all about at first. But he's the one who found Cole Tracy, punt coverage team looked good, KOs have improved, no bad decisions on returns and (compared to last year) s/teams penalties are down significantly.

So, with limited data, this one is looking like a very good hire. Seeing improvements on the field and the whole Tracy thing is exactly what "recruiting" for special teams is supposed to look like.

lmao!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe LSU should just go ahead and give Zeraux a lifetime contract. Would that make you feel all warm and fuzzy??
