My Takeaways From The Kentucky/A&M Game

Tonight i watched the UK and A&M game thru 3 qtr.
My take
-keep Reed in pocket, lane integrity
-The DL is legit and seems like they have depth. Run tempo so they cant switch. I think we will have some run success.
-The OL wasnt great. Similar to how LSU performed at OM. I think we get good pressure on Reed.
-if Sloan can scheme an offense i think CLK can. Just cant let Reed scramble on 3rd.

When the Sun Devils played aTm defensively they came out in the same set every single down. That seemed to throw Reed off. The play adjustment was made before the snap. They were effective.

Good observation. I didn't see that game. In the UK game he didn't force his run game, he only did it when he had too, which was surprising. I always thought of him as going to the run quickly. But because of the lead UK jumped out to, that kinda forced the aggies to throw the ball and that is not good for Reed.
Should be interesting. I hope we can get the run game going, and I think the aggies will be thinking the same thing on defense. They will want to contain SL10 and force him to throw because of his own inaccuracies and not hitting hot routes, but instead running out of the pocket.
So both defenses will have the same goal, force the QB to throw and contain.
Why don't we see play action in college?
It is effective or you wouldn't see it in the NFL.
