Maybe this is a "glass half full" way of looking at things but maybe they decided to keep it as vanilla as possible to not tip their hand. Let the SEC teams continue to prepare to stop the run and stack the box. When Etling comes out and starts taking advantage of it they will have to make mid game adjustments and then it will be too late.

Maybe this was the plan all along? Les figured Harris had enough to beat Wisc and J State and would pull the Ole switcheroo when we got in the meat of the schedule. He didn't plan on losing to Wisc and dropping so far but still knows the SEC championship is there and a playoff spot.

Not a perfectly executed plan but that silly Mad Hatter might just pull it off

Absolutely no way in hell that was the plan.

Dude seriously? Haven't we heard this for the last 5 years?

Friend, this just doesn't sound credible to me. Sorry, just doesn't.

Nice try, but you're wrong. The problem is that you're posing an answer to a question that doesn't exist. There was no significant difference in play calling among last week, the first quarter of this week, the second quarter and the second half. The difference is that in the second quarter our QB was sharp. In each other period, including the second half, the QB sucked.

Just glad they were consistent. They called shitty plays for BH in the first game. Now Etling in the 2nd half knows how BH feels.

There is no secret playbook and no master plan. Just stop with that nonsense.

This was posted in jest but damn it, it gives me optimism and something to look forward to instead of dreading the impending embarrassment that this season would bring

Yes you are wrong. The pass plays called in the second half were mostly long low percentage passes.

This worked vs Bama that one year with Mett (thanks chavis) but other than that I can't recall a time where that actually worked

If I had a nickel for every time I've said that in the Les Miles era I'd be rich. We're way to deep into this mess to actually still believe that

It's truly amazing how ridiculous some of the shite people come up with on here. Every time I think I've heard it all, someone comes along and tops it. Congratulations

That's exactly what everyone thought last year when we seemed to waste opportunities to work on our game against our rent-a-wins. Surely we were saving the "real" playbook for Bama right? Nope. What you saw was what you got.

We went up by three touchdowns. In what other games has Miles not shutdown and started playing run out the clock once we go up by a few scores?

I also wonder if it were a situation where they didn't have a full game plan ready to install with etling, if they plan an entire game for him this week we will probably see more like the 2Q this Saturday.

Here's hoping anyway.
