You’re not wrong but he’s raked at every level. It’s clear this lineup has holes and needs the best athletes and players there every single day. Florida does it and it looks like they are doing pretty well. It’s college. Let the kid hit.

It's not as bad of an idea as people think. Travinski or Frey need ABs because we really need another RH bat to step up.
Normally being that we're facing a righty I'd go with jobert over Travinski. But after joberts bullshite today I wouldn't want him on the field.
I'd probably put Kling in RF and Pearson to DH though.
It is time to start getting Beloso some of Joberts ABs

You sound like a complete moron. You’re saying our 3rd best hitter is someone that hasn’t even swung a bat in a game? I seriously doubt he is our 3rd best hitter for one…. And I seriously doubt you see him hit in a game this season. But if you do see him hit…. That’s when all you morons need to worry.

A college career OPS hovering 1.121 (this is elite btw in case you’re only used to batting average) with 24 career home runs in 402 plate appearances
Just as a reference, Dugas has 32 career homers in 581 plate appearances.
Obviously Skenes wouldn’t have a career 1.100 OPS in the SEC (really good still btw in case you’re a BA kinda guy), but I feel comfortable saying he’d be better than the majority of LSU’s current lineup.

Skenes pitching is 100000000000000 times more important than anything he would do at the plate. We don’t need anything at all to affect his pitching in any way. Especially now that our bullpen is looking a little more shallow than we thought. Skenes simply doesn’t need to hit.

Ben Nippolt hit .308 last year at the Division 1 level. He is now at .176 and hasn’t even gotten to SEC pitching. Your theory doesn’t always work.
Either way, it’s simply not worth the risk having him hit at this point.

Him taking a pitch off the hand and breaking his thumb would certainly affect his pitching on Fridays I would think.
