Bama allowed 31 to Arkansas on the road.

The way they're playing games are over after the first quarter. I would completely ignore all bama stats

but the D allowed a wide open TD 1st half.... and fell asleep on a big catch by Franks that setup the winning TD.... not good...

The crap run defense isn’t a bad day, it’s becoming a trend

Is it possible this is also a direct result from an anemic offense with zero imagination or creativity

We and an anemic offense under Chavis and fans blamed him for every blown lead

I’d promote Aranda to head coach today and be done with it.

It's wasn't bad defensive play calling! But the players didn't attack and had a complete abomination of tackling. How many times did the have the QB or RB dead to rights only to have them miss the tackle or RB fall forward and gain 3-5 yards?

I don’t get why Aranda can’t be criticized at all.

Because Arandas unit, while not spectacular, did enough to win. The offense had PLENTY of miscues that completely changed the complexity of the game. WHo on this coaching staff do you honestly think is competent enough to immediately be hired if we fired them?

ONLY ARANDA!!!!

He was the reason we lost games in 2013.

$2.7 million coordinators should be outschemed by anyone. We clearly were not ready for the option and it killed us.

I think if Aranda goes, O goes as well, we would completely crumble if Aranda leaves.

I think we need a complete reset on the whole staff, including Aranda. How he continued to give Franks all day to throw was shocking. It was obvious that we needed to blitz, and he didn't call for it. Sure worked for UF.

It was a down game for the Defense but if you think they cost us the game, you need to stop posting.

This is a ridiculous point.

They offered him that money because they needed to match A&M's offer or he was gone. That's it. He's not infallible.

Half of those yards were AFTER contact.

Tackling is often about the "want to". Often our current DBs
will run up and bump a RB and hope he goes down. Or either grab them too high or dive at their feet, both moves designed to minimize possible impact to the DB. Neither are the way form tackling is taught or practiced by great defensive players. Hit, wrap up and take to the ground. But cover corners especially seem to not like that much contact.

Arkansas scores most of those in the first half. Bamas defense is not great this year.

Better be careful criticizing Aranda, if Aranda goes, Orgeron will be run out of town because Aranda has proved himself, Orgeron hasn’t.

Real question: would O have hired Pete Jenkins as DC if Aranda left?

I don’t think Jenkins would have taken it, however I think Orgeron would have tried to talk Jenkins into the taking the job just like he talked Ensminger into taking the OC.
