Outside of Watkins the WRs were inconsistent. They struggled with some catchable passes and didn’t get any separation on the few one on one routes they had.
But that is really a minor nit in an otherwise dominant first game. Something that can get better with time on task

He looked rusty, which is understandable. He looked much better in the second half than in the first, and he did have several dropped passes, as you stated.
I suspect he'll get at least a half against LA Tech, which will give him 5 quarters at game speed. He should be fully settled in before the Ole Miss game.

They looked out of sync early, which is exactly what you should expect week 1 with a completely new team and roster. Second half they were on time, there was better separation and decision making.
You can say that the deep ball specifically is a concern, but I’m not sure if we have the personnel that will ever excel in that. We will be fine if we keep running the ball like we did.
