I think he hasn't really updated his material and certainly doesn't seem to refit his offense for the talent available

both points are 100% wrong

he added new wrinkles (the no huddle) to change up our offense. he's also added traditional option

and he added the option to take advantage of a fast QB

so both points = fail

We have to realize that ever since crowton was hired as OC we have had to sweat out most ballgames. He is the problem and if it takes Miles being fired to get rid of him than so be it. Crowtons gotta go.

Well then his upgrades are a fail. Because they don't work.

We play better in hurry up offense when no one is looking to the sideline. JJ gets in a rhythm. And the option is so damn awkward looking and hasn't been very productive.

And how has that new "wrinkle" worked out? Right, I thought so.

He was much more creative when he first arrived, then again, I guess he had a more experienced offense and stronger line.

I'd say the personnel has changed more than Crowton.

Why would it be Crowton's fault??? What if Crowton called the perfect play but Les changed it because, since Miles uses his feelings instead of his brain, it was the better thing to choose than Crowton's

Is that what you call that piece of shite LSU attempts to run? It does a disservice to the name "option."

When your offense is one of the worst in college football, two people get the blame, the HC and the OC. Guess who goes first?

Where does this stuff come from?

GC is responsible for the best offense in LSU history in 2007.

You think the man forgot how to coach?

Please. Some of you are amazing....

Recheck the games before Crowton got here. We had a lot of close games under Jimbo that we should have been coasting on in the 4th quarter.

This is not Crowton. This is Miles.

If you disagree, please show me game tape from La. Tech, BYU or Oregon where he used big running backs and pounded out yards. And I don't mean one or two plays a game. I'm talking that being his game plan.

Miles wants a ball control, time consuming, pound it out offensive game plan. He wants to shorten all games by limiting possessions. He wants an offensive that he has a player at Michigan would have loved to block for.

Don't care what anyone says, Crowton has handcuffs on.

That poster has been clueless in every post I've seen by the guy. Crowton has NOT updated his material. The no huddle is being condemned by just about everyone including the announcers and that is PROCESS, NOT substance. That clueless poster doesn't have a clue what the difference is!

Actually, the head coach doesn't get the blame unless he fails to rectify the situation. Miles did last year with the DCs. Let's see if he does at the end of this year with the OC. Oh, and he needs to get rid of Coach Stud (OL coach) also.

I agree with the fact that Miles wants LSU to be a Michigan-like team. He did his best work with Hester - a pounder that would always come up with the necessary 3 yards and Flynn - another hard nosed tough competitor. MIles knows nothing about modern offenses and it is killing us. Up the middle or that STUPID option play (that has got to be the worst option play in d1).
Miles is 20 years in the past.

It's hard to be creative when the QB doesn't know how to run basic plays.

He's limited by crappy QB play.

Jefferson is totally lost.

I know the theoretical benefits to not huddling, but I haven't seen any actual benefits from it. On the contrary, we look confused all the time. My theory is that the few seconds spent walking to the line and getting set gives linemen a chance to mentally review their assignments and receivers a chance to think about their routes. This would be less important for a team full of fourth and fifth year players.

Is it too late to switch? I don't see the decision of whether or not to huddle being something that can't be changed and implemented almost immediately. I'm pretty sure all of these guys didn't play in an no huddle offense in high school so the adjustment wouldn't be that difficult.

I was pulling my hair out when we played MSU with that f*cking no-huddle shite. Here you are, in a stadium that is filled with artificial noise makers, making it 10x louder than it normally would be, and you're running a no-huddle??
