Awesome rebuttal. You must be in the legal profession.

If that's the best you can do, then obviously you're not.

YOU started this thread... And I have given you reasons on why LSU[SHOULD ]DESTROY Iowa.. I have seen them play... They are a slow undermanned team against an LSU team with a freshman QB starting... SORRY dude... YOU think Iowa has a shot??? AGAIN YOU will not answer OR give me a reason why Iowa should even be IN this game...

BrewHawk, don't you understand, every big ten team is inferior to even the worst SEC team. LSU will win because CBS and ESPN says everyone in the SEC is just an eye lash of being NFL.

Cool inferiority complex, bro. It's pretty indisputable that if LSU comes out firing, it will be a long, long day for Iowa. Y'all have a solid squad and if we come out like we did against Ole Miss or Arkansas y'all could snag a win.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

You were the one with the weak comeback. Glad you're done.

We lost to Ole Miss, we don't have any delusions.

You, on the other hand, well shite...yall are next years BCS candidate. Sitting on 8-4.

Funny that Wisconsin is going to be such a great game given they could very well end up 8-4 next year.

But ya'll are correct, LSU has more talent than Iowa and should win this game, lucky for us that doesn't always turn out to be true.

Well, something like that.

I have a feeling that the LSU plays down the entire first half. This is a letdown bowl against a much lower ranked team that doesn't have any real historical gravitas either.

One touchdown game either way.

Look dude don't take it personal, we just feel like we drew the Vandy of the big 10.

We know you could can beat us in this game if we don't show up. But we also realize LSU could sleep thru the game and still pull it out.
This is why most of us are uncertain of the outcome.

But dude really, please stop with all the NFL pipeline crap and trying to build up your program to something it isn't. You are run of the mill. Deal with it. There is no honor in thinking you are something you are not. Embrace it. Ferentz is a good coach. But the big 10 has two programs that aren't run of the mill and they don't even match up well with top tier SEC schools in terms of overall success.

The SEC very well could be standing with 4 separate teams with multiple championships in the last 10 fricking years.
The Big Ten has two schools that have a total of 3 championships going back to 1960 and that's just because I stopped looking.

Dude it's your SuperBowl and for us we are worried that it's a Party and nothing else to our players.

It is what it is. You are trying too hard.

That being said good luck. If Jennings throws for 200 yards it will be because you are getting your arse raped on national TV. You need to hold our entire offense to under 300-320y total to be in the game.

Essentially you need one of two things. A high powered offense like Ole Miss' or Georgia's catching the defense sleepwalking or Alabama's defense.

You have neither.

shite I forgot about Penn State. 3 teams with 5 titles.

That's not true. What is true is that your conference is embarrassingly weak compared to other BCS conferences and to what your conference used to be. The ACC is looking down at you this season.

while I certainly don't agree that "every big ten team is inferior to the worst SEC team" the ACC's coastal division winner is playing the SEC West's 4th place team.. And "said" SEC team is spotted almost 2 touchdowns by vegas..

This obviously doesn't disprove your point.. but if the ACC does look down on the SEC.. they're dumb.

BTW, MSU, OSU and Wisconsin would have taken down the Tigers this year. So you'd still be 9-3.

Is Hubris a town in Iowa? Your position is curiously strong considering a good loss for Iowa was Northern Illinois (playing tonight in a pre-New Year's plant bowl), and a good win for LSU came against the SEC Champions (playing for the National Championship after New Year's).

And if Jennings doesn't struggle, LSU will crush you like a bug. I think you know that too.

Brew - I enjoyed your original post. You make some valid points (eg. Our D is soft in the middle, pad level issues). I agree.
I'm sure you guys will try different variations on trying to run up the middle on us. I'd try the same thing. If you and I know this so does Chavis. If I'm Chavis I load the box and sell out on the run. Let our more gifted athletes make plays if you try to throw or run outside.

Offensively I'm not worried about moving the ball on your defense. It looks as if you guys have a solid unit but we'll move the ball on anyone. We've played the best defenses in the country and if anyone has stopped us it's us. No disrespect to any of our opponents, but our guys and scheme are just really good. We are more dangerous with Jennings than Mett

Thanks for the reasonable reply (other than the score prediction).

Lotta smack on this board. I'm comfortable with the Hawkeyes chances.

I would agree. I think a lot of posters here are selling Mett short. The guy had one of the best seasons an LSU QB has ever had. He will be missed.
