How where they wrong last yr?

Are you OK with the product on the field?

Are you OK with paying a coach 4 million dollars for that product?

I actually couldn't agree more.

I have no problem, with people booing our team, but don't wear Purple and Gold when you do so. Put on the other team's colors, and I'll be ok with it.

I really agree with this post 100%. I hate our fans.

Tell me how booing Jefferson is going to build his confidence or make the team want to play harder?

Imagine how 2003 would've turned out if we would've booed after UGA's late TD.....instead we chanted L-S-U, and at that moment, we KNEW we were going to win.

Get your $hit together fans. Support your team.

I think the reason why so many fans boo and bitch on the rant is because we are so used to success. Since the turn into the new millennium, we have had nothing but success: not a single losing season, 2 national titles 2 SEC titles, 2 sugar bowl victories, and 9 straight bowl appearances. Having the trouble we are having now is very unusual. But I still don't think we are in the worst situation. We are 4-0 and 2nd in the SEC West. We have Tennessee at home next week. Yeah, it's going to be a hard fought game, it usually is against Tennessee. Our defense should give our offense plenty of chances, and our specials teams should put their offense in tough field position. So we should be 5-0 entering Florida. Despite our struggles with the QB position, I don't think we could be in a better position to have a successful season. No I'm not saying we are perfect. QB play needs to better before going to Gainesville, but I still think this team is in a position to control its own destiny. You guys are probably going to bash me for this post, but this is my stand on the season so far.

Do you follow any sports?

Almost every successful athlete thrives on critism. The great athletes are motivated, and turn it to a whole new level to show what they are capable of. Heck, that even happens to those in the business world who exceed. Their competitive juices start flowing.

Wanna know where the biggest underperforming losers come from? Children who aren't challenged, and are told that they are great, no matter what they do. They believe it, and when they become adults, they blame everyone else for their failures. They can't even fathom how they're not succeeding.

Does that answer your question?

I agree. In fact, I credit the fact that we're currently 4-0 to the constant bitching.

My only worry is - can we keep it up?

Think about it...

We griped our team to a last minute win over a severely depleted NC team.

Then, we bitched our guys up good for Vandy - but the criticism didn't kick in untill the 4th quarter!

Antcipating a slaughter by an up and coming MSU team, we doubted the sh*t out of our guys and then added some Sabanesque post game whining just to keep the momentum going.

And yesterday? Yesterday we almost lost because of all the positigers that spoke in support of the team all last week! Luckily, the true fans were able to boo us to victory over a crappy WVU team.

My concern is this. If we don't kick the menstrual cycle into high gear, we can forget beating Tennesse - much less Alabama, Florida, Auburn, or Arkansas.

C'mon now - let's pull together and complain. We are LSU!!

Bert Jones is a friend of mine and LSU. He is not arrogant nor would he ever make fun of a young player. On the contrary, he would help him. But I would hate to be the jerk fan whom he catches booing a young player.
