Ah that was good reading, lots of laugh out loud moments. Thanks for posting something funny, glad it was just a joke.

It's amazing how many grammar marms frequent this site. God bless them for educating all of us.

I'm sure the 22 year old intern that handles their emails will get a kick out of this. That's the only person who will see this.

The only thing you could have done to make it less readable is to have typed it completely in italics.

That is a very, very GOOD letter sir. Please take my advice and sign it as follows.........
quote:

"I have a question and it pretains to officials. I'm aware the conferances supply their own refs abd its up to each conferance to evaluate their performance. However, in light of several "questionable" calls that have occured in games this year -none more ridiculous than what took place during the Auburn-Arkansas game involving not only the refs on the field but the replay official in the booth as well. You know the calls I'm referring to-I'm talking about the calls everyone else in the nation as well as the CBS commentators witnessed. I'm in no way saying there is a fix on or anything of the sort-I'm just saying someone should keep an eye on this if possible. Now, if I'm not mistaken, isn't it one of the NCAA's duties to protect the integrity of college of college sports? The way you can help accomplish this is to at least notify the ALL conference offices and let them know the officials including those in the replay booth will be monitored. Is that a possibility for the NCAA to look into?"

Most respectfully yours; a concerned University of Alabama alum

I like what the dude had to say, I hope the NCAA does put some pressure on the SEC to keep the games honest and fair.

That isn't even close to being a sentence! It's like a suspense novel where you are left hanging for the ending that never comes. I'd send a sequel ASAP if I were you, no doubt they are waiting.

I was about to point out the same things. This is not the way to right a compelling or persuasive argument.

Hell I'd love to send a letter to the SEC office...but as soon as they figured out who I was from the email address...I'd never get on the field as a HS official here in Alabama. They have long reaches into the HS system here.

But I do agree...there are some serious discrepancies with SEC and NCAA officiating as a whole.

Could it be because of TV? Could it be fans are becoming more educated? Regardless of what it is, NCAA officials are held in the highest regard and they need to officiate games in that respect without bias.

My overwhelming question with respect to the matter at hand is: Is there corruption at the college level like that which we saw in the NBA that is driving some of these missed/flagrantly incorrect calls? Could that corruption originate from someone like Rogers Redding or Mike Slive?
