Coverage was very good from the defense overall. It was hard to pick out performances from the DL and LBs because they were only in helmets and weren't going full steam. And as KevinTheRant stated, we only threw over the middle once or twice, so it was hard to gauge.

sorry your test sucked. Wish you could have been there. It was more fun than expected. with the success of this year and the fun CLM seemed to have with it, they'll probably do it again.

and yeah i really hope they'll do it again next year, that'd be awesome. and if by some hellish circumstance i have a test again, i'll take it early

the whole article about miles's thoughts of the practice makes me skeptical, though.

one last question...WHEN WE GETTIN' OUR SUITE TICKETS, BRAH?

The first thing coach Nader said to us was that it was Coach Miles idea.

I PICKED THEM UP AN HOUR AGO BRAH!

I'd text you a picture of them, but I don't have your number. Mines on Facebook, so you should text me your name.

ETA: yeah. Idk where that article came from, but it sure seemed like les miles was leading everything and having a lot of fun with it. And none of the students did anything stupid, so I think they'll definitely do it again.

With weak tightends, let Ware and Ford play tightend in passing situations and Blue as flanker about 10 plays a game. Defenses can't cover 2 additional receivers. Win,Win,Win.

Not quite as good as future sure thing 1st rounders, sure. But, he is a legit future NFL CB. Pure cover skills, in the past few years I would put his peak only below Claiborne. (Both are more consistent in coverage than PP7. Yes I said it.) PP was more likely to be burned on a double move, Simon is the most likely to lose a step on a fast WR running downfield. But, Simon's last second makeup ability may surpass the other two. He isn't as good at turning that burst into a play on the ball, but he is great at knocking the ball away at the last second. I won't compare him to TM7, because TM7 hasn't consistently played a pure CB position yet. Simon is a legit 6'2 1/2" and will probably run right around a 4.6 flat. Add in long arms and good feel for breaking up passes, and he will make a solid second rounder for someone. Maybe the end of the first if a team really likes him.

This is an excellent breakdown on Simon. His best attribute is his long arms that allow him to make up for getting beat. Especially on Deep throws and fades.

the 3 QBs looked good. Very exciting!

When has there ever been a spring practice where someone didn't say this? Hell, JJ and JL both had "very promising" spring practices the entire time they were here.

New season. Not every QB is Jarrett lee or Jordan jefferson. Plus they are pure kragthorpe. Get over it.

Watching him on the sidelines at last years Spring Game gave me the exact same impression as yours, he seems to gel right in with those around him...... he gives the calm and composed vibe, not antsy and nervous. That will flow to the rest of the guys in the huddle.

He is the guy in the huddle everyone is looking at when they are down by 7 late in the 4th, asking him, "what are we gonna do?", Mett smiles and replies, " I dont know, but we will get it done!"....

My biggest takeaway yesterday was that Special Teams practice is exactly like Waterboy.

On one field we have the whole team and all the coaches and support staff. On another we have 2 kickers, a punter, and two snappers just sorta dicking around.
