The weather was a contributing factor to the conservative play calling. The fake FG was the only play that threw me for a loop.

Just not sure what to think about the 4th quarter. Either we were gassed and not in it, or someone in the coaches box called a really terrible offense.

Still shaking my head.

Like I said, flashbacks to the Clemson game last year. Shut down the offense in the 4th quarter and try to hang on.

It's extremely obvious when Miles takes over. It's the first time I've seen it this year and I'm sure he will give himself that liberty even more as the season progresses.

I expect to see a progressively more conservative, run-oriented offense and closer games than they should be.

It's who he is and he'll never change. I'm glad he's our coach but you're being naive if you can't see where he likes to take over the reigns. He will always put his stamp on every game.

right, you are supposed to RUN up 21, not pass. could you imagine the ridicule LM from this lot if he was throwing instead of eatng clock?

should keep the pedal to the metal. early In the second half we became very predictable. Auburn was stuffing the box even on first downs in the second knowing LSU's tendancies to just keep trying to pound the ball when we get a leed. Stupid. I thought we were past that type of thinking. Take what the defense is giving. Auburn was in a position to make it a game due to Cam and MIles stubbornness.

we shut it down earlier than that. Was just some lucky plays in the 3rd that kept it going. Wasn't the play calling.

constantly running into a stacked box on 1st and 2nd down threw me for a loop, but the fake field goal was obnoxiously stupid. NOt like it was 4th and two or something like that. Really think Frudge is going to run for 10 yards up the middle even catching them off guard? just plain dumb. We used to run fakes at just the right times, now we just do it to up hold a rep or something. I'm puzzled.

the game could have easily been in doubt if Auburn would have scored when they were down at our 10 yard line with a few minutes left on the clock. Was no reason to be in that position.

My main issues with Miles tonight were when he called the redzone fumble and the INT on first down.

LSU had 217 yards in the third quarter. Three drives over 60 yards. Then, 2 yards in the 4th.

The 2nd quarter we had one long drive (of 4 plays) but outside of that, had less than 20 yards on the other three.

We were running the ball effectively. Why not keep running?

In the first half when they didn't know what was coming at them.

When you have a good QB and a good passing game, throwing on first down can be very effective and keep the chains moving. Running into a stacked line for negative yards on 1st and second down is not an effective strategy. Why not throw to wide open recievers on those downs when you have a QB who can hit them.

I wish Curley Hallman would have tried what we did tonight in 1994 against AU

No. Miles said it in the post game. Because of the weather the goal was to get a lead and play not to lose. If that wasn't already painfully obvious to you, then please never start another thread.

I honestly feel like if we kept the gas on the ENTIRE game it would have been more around 49-14. We just completely let up the 4th quarter and 2nd quarter though.
