My dad did that crap before he died. The TV would just be blaring. He couldn't hear crap. He had good hearing aids and when he would wear them, it would be normal, but he just would not wear them. Was very frustrating.

He may be too old to give af at this point, but get him some RF tv headphones. My dad’s hearing was going and the volume was driving my mom crazy. Got him some Sennheisers and he loved them. He was actually able to hear a lot more detail.

I’m visualizing my MiL in those headphones and I’m cackling.
I can’t deal with having to explain everything multiple times. He can’t hear. She can’t hear. It’s exhausting. I’m to a point with my FiL that I’ll just tell him I’m not talking to him unless he has his hearing aides in.
