Well I, for one, appreciate the thought and effort. I hope you're right about everything except fumbles

Do you have any idea how hard it would be to avg. 100 yds more through the air per game while repeating what we did on the ground last yr? Next to impossible
Lol, or as I see it, very much possible. We had the hardest schedule I've ever even heard of. This year, easier competition, and for Lsu,most of the same players with an extra year of experience, including upgrades at 9 of the 11 starting positions. I think there are some lofty hopes tossed into the stats, but to think we won't do +100 in the air, while the run benefits from that goes against the facts (barring injuries). Where I see the stats being off, is the bottom end of the RB rotation will have more carries and YPC during the blowouts early in the year. Also, Mett's completion % is kind of high there, but hey, a man can dream, can't he?

TM7 is not a lock down corner like PP or Claiborn was. Their secondary is going to give up more big plays this year.
The guys that said 1/9 was because Bama ran good routes against his man to man coverage....isn't that the point or a corner? Especially one that you guys claim should have been a heisman contender?

go watch jeff fuller's performance vs patrick peterson in the cotton bowl 2 years ago and come back and tell me what you find. Until then, GTFO.

Tharold Simon on the other corner will be the lockdown guy...he had as many passes defensed as Mo Claiborne last year, and he's a 6' 3" spidermonkey.

Correction: Not "should have been", but WAS a Heisman Contender...didn't you see him sitting in the front row at the Downtown Athletic Club? No, he's not a "lock down corner", but I guess you didn't see him force turnovers, run back punts, score TD's, and change games like no other defensive player in the country last year.

Think whatever you want. I couldn't care less. Just telling you, a 12-0 season is completely ridiculous.
11-1 is a good season but 10-2 is a lot more realistic. Maybe even 9-3 depending on how quickly Mett performs early on in the SEC schedule.

Probable loss to Bama.
The other games which LSU must avoid a slip up...
South Carolina, @ UF, @ Auburn, Miss State.
Auburn will be Metts first SEC game and its on the road in the SEC. Poor play from him could result in an upset.
UF is going to be a lot better this year. Anytime you play in the swamp, its a game to beware of. Any sort of QB play out of our two QBs will result in a huge improvement over last year. Outside of Alabama, the UF defense will be far and away the best defense LSU faces all year.
Miss State almost beat LSU last year. I believe they led late in the 3rd quarter. Another year with Mullen....you never know. Miss State is going to be a wild card this year.
USC will have the most talented player in the SEC this year. If Lattimore stays healthy, he could win a heisman. Spurrier always is good for at least one upset a year by his USC squads.

Miss state? stop it. It's in death valley. LSU is a lock to win that game.
I have no idea who plays QB for UF or auburn. I'm not even sure Mullen and Boom know who their QBs are. It will take very good QB play to beat LSU. Noone is gonna run on us consistently. Bama beat us in the NC because AJ played the game of his life.
I agree, USC and Bama will be a good games.

South Carolina is going to have severe offensive trouble in Death Valley. I imagine too many false starts for them to get a flow going.
ETA: This is my homer post of the day.

spurrier will have them up and ready to go. They didnt play that poorly vs us in the rain back in 2007.

He was a sophomore. Plus, you're comparing him to the 2 best CBs in the nation their respective draft years, each being one year of experience older than TM7. So yeah, I guess you're right. He sucks. Trade him.

You don't have a QB, thats what you guys cannot seem to grasp. You have never seen your QB ever do anything.....ever. Succeeding in college is so much about smarts. Jamarcus had all the talent int he world....but he was a dumbass. Matt Flynn came in with less "talent and hype" than JR....and won a national title. He was smart.
Mett has shown nothing but stupidity since he first set foot on UGAs campus. He needs to prove that he has grown up and can actually produce on the D1 level before you guys jump on his jock.
Based on the last 8 quarters of football I have seen of LSU football....10-2 would be a solid year.

doubtful
Just think about this. It has been 2 years since LSU scored a touchdown on a Nick Saban led Alabama defense. In 8 quarters and an overtime last year, LSU managed 9 points. Bama outgained them 679 - 331 last year in the two meetings.
They both had two great teams last year but there was absolutely no question that Alabama was clearly better than LSU.
