MVB decision if he was your son, what would have been your advice?

Option 1 - take the playing time when you can get it, get more film out there, play for your team, etc. still keep redshirt and could use it next year, year after. Play ball!
Option 2 - don’t burn your redshirt, 2 games may or may not prove anything more on your game tape, may never get the right opportunity to redshirt again where it would be meaningful, lose potential big future earning dollars. A pretty high chance the next coach is brining in there guy, you probably will not be at LSU next year. Perhaps more marketable in the portal with three years versus two.
How are you advising your son? Option 1 / 2?

I'd probably find myself a good therapist because I'm a helicopter dad obsessed over a kid with no NFL future.

Kind of off topic, but do you or anyone else know if he’s related to the former president at all?
To answer your question, I see a path to potentially be the starting QB of a major college program with a coach that develops QBs well. I’m doing everything than I can to earn that job now. As a parent, I’m advising to give it your all to earn that role.

All that “marketability” just eroded when a player decided to tell the coach frick you instead of coming in and playing when the team needed you to replace an injured starter.

Redshirt.
Anyone saying otherwise is selfish.

Play these few games the best you can so you can set your NIL value based upon your past performance rather than your future potential. You ain’t getting a raise next season based upon a red shirt for the remainder of the season.

Shouldn't MVB wear No. 8?

Funny how we heard Muss was hurt all season then all of a sudden he can’t play any more when no chance for a playoff and MVB gets the start. They are using MVB to fill in the gap and with kiffin coming in he has no shot at starting , as Lane will bring his own QBs. If I knew he could transfer to another coach to play D1 who really believed in me , transfer; there is no loyalty in this game. Imo
