They’ll be fine. It’s good to get punched in the mouth early on.

They’re gonna miss ladahzia Williams bad this year , del rosario spoiled me in the starting lineup if the other team has heavier physical center like Colorado did

Good enough to blow LSU out in the season opener?

I personally wouldn't call 14 points a "blowout "loss.

That's a blowout my man, 14 is what LSU brought it down to. That's not even taking account that LSU WAS the #1 team.

To more or less paraphrase Mike Tyson...

"Everybody believes their media hype until they get punched in the mouth."

Colorado was clearly fired up to be playing the defending national champions and punched Mulkey's prima donnas in the mouth.

Angel Reese got pushed, squeezed, hacked and eventually just quit. When she did get the ball and could face the basket, she would just throw it up and chase the offensive rebound. (We've seen her get away with that before, haven't we?)

I didn't think Van Lith played that badly. She didn't get a lot of help because it looked like nobody was willing to fight Colorado to go to the ball.

Poole needs to get in shape, but she's not the only problem.

Overall they played timid and lazy. Mulkey is going to run that out of them at practice.

6.4 of her 15.4 RPG last year were offensive. Most of those were probably her own misses. Love and respect Angel and the women's team, but it's clear that when Angel plays against physical bigs she struggles. She is able to dominate against less physical or athletic bigs and is able to score well, but she's struggled against stout defenses. Look at our games against Tennessee and SC last year.

Eye test wise Angel leaves a lot to be desired at times. A lot of her shot attempts (usually layups) are so heavily contested. It seems like she just chucks them up because she trusts she will get the offensive board. I will probably get a lot of flak for saying this, but I genuinely think Alexis Morris was the best player on our team last year, and a big reason why we won a national title.

What precisely has Angel done to earn your respect?

Be a key contributor to winning a national title.

I meant respect in the sense more so of that I’m not dismissing a female athlete

It’s game 1. Will probably end up being a good thing in the long run.

Hey our LSU girls look pretty in sports illustrated and put out quality content on the socials though! Bhad Baby style. We got booty talent on the court. So we still got the pale colorado womens team beat. Geaux Tigers! Gotta celebrate the wins.

It was clear, Colorado outhustled LSU from the start...they wanted this victory!
LSU made too many lazy passes that resulted in turnovers and amazingly couldn't get into the paint for most of the game. Are we sure Colorado was rated 20th while LSU is 1st? If I didn't know any better, I would've thought it was the other way around.
Hoping they'll work things out and the chemistry will return.

Reese is a solid rebounder but she has no offensive game at all.
She talks about going to the next level which I don’t watch at all but I imagine she’d get eaten alive in that league.

What do you call a double-digit loss as the #1 team to the #20 team on opening night?

BTW, it was more than that for a great deal of the 2nd half, that's what LSU worked it down to.

When you have a few new starters the chemistry takes a little more time in basketball than other sports unfortunately. Similar to the NBA teams that get loaded with all-stars and can never piece it all together. Mulkey made it out fine with less talent last year, they will figure it out this year.
