I admittedly don’t watch as much football as I used to. I watch everything LSU but that’s about it. So... this is almost the same roster that beat us by 30 and had Bama reeling late in the 4th last year. What’s the difference this year ? What has caused them issues in their losses? TIA

Losing Mullen significantly hurt their offense, mainly the passing game

Their D is legit though. The front 7 is very good

Moorhead early on this year has tried to make Fitz someone taking shots 20+ yards down field routinely. Issue is Fitz Just is not that type of passer. They have had more success with adjusting to more short/intermediate routes vs Auburn.

They traded a guy who was a championship winning OC and the beat HC in program history for a guy who was a very good OC on one of the 3 good teams in the Big Ten

They are missing Mullen big time, and has already been said, their D is legit. Our OL better show up. If he's given time, I like Burrow's chances to make things happen, but if we lose in the trenches again like at UF, we could be in for a long, frustrating game again.

Mullen leaving is obviously a big deal. I’d think they come in and commit to establishing the run. How is the back end of their defense? With their front 7 I feel like creating big plays and being balanced is huge for us as it always is. I just have nightmares of losing the LOS all game last year. They have had a week off of rest and we have played a tough stretch with a physical game last week. We’ve got to come out with high intensity, hope the Death Valley is alive for this night game!

From what I gather their new coach tried to make Fitzgerald into a passer that he just isn't. They beat Auburn by just committing to the run, had an off week last week, and are coming in here this week expecting to run up the gut like Holyfield did successfully against us. I think Aranda is up to that challenge but we'll see.

Solid D-Line.Decent LB's. Average DB's.
Offense is one dimensional.Stop their run you win. QB cannot pass.

Completely different coach and the book is out on their QB. Last year people respected his arm. This year teams are challenging him and he m hasn’t produced with his arm.

#1 scoring D. We also struggle with speed rushers. Not as talented on the back end.

If LSU contains the run, Tigahs win.

Mullen is king of taking strong runners with decent arms and making system QBs outnofnthem.

Tebow, Dak, Fitzgerald to a lesser extend Filipe because he not that athletic.
