Silly question, but who would give Alleva any credit now for his hire of Orgeron? No takers? How sad. Remember "the binder" and all the ridicule? Do you still wish you had Herman or Fisher? Oh, and who hired Will Wade, Which may turn out ok or not. And further salt, who left with perhaps the best facilities in the nation and tons of money in the bank. Woodward should do so well.

Alleva is the most under appreciated LSU Tiger ever. He might be the GOAT athletic director except for monetizing and ruining game day tailgating. That shite is his Vietnam.

He wanted Jimbo and Herman over Orgeron and forced Orgeron to hire Canada. Don’t forget that

It was Alleva or Wade. We selected Wade and relieved Alleva of AD duties

Alleva got lucky off a horrible process. By all accounts, Wade was not his doing. Alleva put a ceiling on LSU. With Woodward, the sky is the limit.

Not only no, but hell no. That entire deal was beyond frustrating as was the bulk of Allevas tenure here.

Maybe Woody hires Herman. Maybe he hires Ed anyways. But there no was he makes himself and the university look like a clown show.

NO Alleva still sucks arse no matter what coach O does. Dude handled Miles horribly wrong, the search horribly wrong, and the basketballs NCAA run horribly..

He’s an a-hole

THIS!!!!!

Ed is doing a great job, something I really didn’t think he was capable of.

But that doesn’t change the fact that Alleva’s job search was a farce and he hired a guy that, at the time, no in else in the country even wanted to interview.

Alleva was a pathetic joke of an AD regardless of how Ed turns out.

My problem with alleva was solely the handling of the process. If you are going to fire miles have the balls to do it at the end of the a&m game. The fact that we fired him 4 games into the next season is a disgrace.

If you have a financial planner all your money. And he went and played roulette with it, you’d fire him.

Even if it looked like he was about to win it all back and some on his third spin.

Alleva was a shite AD and got lucky with CEO. He made a good hire with Wade. He still sucks as a human and should not touch college athletics ever again.

Joe did more bad than good.

He is and always will be a PR nightmare and now he's not ours.

Glad he is no longer AD.

Isn't that the definition of dong a good job? If things don't work out can you claim to be doing a good job? Aren't results what count?

Omg the Revisionist history going on here. Alleva bungled the firing of Miles but not before giving him a ridiculous contract with a huge buyout. Miles should have been let go years before. He screwed up the negotiations with Jimbo who he was totally set on hiring. He then proceeded to get worked by Herman’s people so they could get a bigger contract with Texas. When all was said and done, the worst AD in the nation conducted the sloppiest most amateurish ”search“ and ended up flipping the keys to the least sought after candidate in the country. Not because that’s who he wanted but because that’s who was left. He fell assbackwards out of his office chair and landed on Orgeron.

And Wade was found for him by someone else. And when Wade needed his support what did he do? Why throw Wade under the bus of course! Basically he rolled over, showed his hind parts to the NCAA and peed on himself with no regard to the damage he was doing to the basketball program or the university.

And let’s not even talk about his response to Florida manipulating him after that Hurricane.
