In the 2012 Chic-Fil-A Bowl, LSU unveiled a new font for their jersey numbers. I remember watching this game and thinking “this is kind of cool for one game but I hope this isn’t a new thing.” LSU went on to lose a heartbreaker to Clemson on a last second field goal, sending both programs on opposite trajectories over the next 6 years. Over the course of the next couple years Clemson climbed to the top of the college football landscape while we have lost our claim to be among the nation’s best. Over this time we have continued to sport this more modern number font (not the exact same but very similar).
As a long time die hard Tiger fan, it would do my heart much good to see LSU return to the more traditional/ block style number font from the pre 2012 Chic-Fil-A Bowl era (our Golden Age). Maybe I’m alone in this thought, but maybe I’m not. All in agreement that we should go back to the traditional block style numbers, give me an upvote. All who disagree, downvote away.

I’m pretty sure we stopped that number font a while back lol. I wanna say 2015 or 2016 we went back.

We’ve gotten closer to the golden age style but it’s still smaller. I’m with you. I want it back. I was so pissed when we changed for that bowl game.

Well while we are at it. Being back the traditional stripes that go all the way around the shoulders. That half stripe looks like shite.

Am I alone in not seeing a major difference between the "old" and "new" numbers? Are there better pictures that show the difference, because I just don't see it in the posted pics?
