You can’t read well can you? I literally stated that I wouldn’t lose TO KEEP A SPECIFIC TEAM OUT. I clearly made it about risking injuries in a game that means NOTHING. You know... like the NFL does. I guess they are all “pussies” and “scared”. Lololololololol

Suggesting losing on purpose is idiotic but those that want to play Bama again are just as dumb. You never want to play a good team in a rematch because the percentages heavily favor the loser of the first game.

Exactly.

That is fricking dumb.

Think about the message that says to all the starters. "We don't trust you to do your jobs and make it through this game or protect the QB" Great mindset to go into the playoff with if we even get in at that point.

The SEC title is still a big deal. Huge deal,

Except it’s not.

We won it in basketball last year. Go ask other fans outside of LSU ifit matters. Is anyone impressed that Georgia won it? Nope

Injuries rarely have anything to do with someone “not doing their job”.

The point is, why risk it? Give me one good reason to play an extra game and risk an injury GOING INTO THE PLAYOFFS when you are ALREADY GUARATEED A SPOT IN THE PLAYOFFS.

So the NFL is stupid for sitting players once they have clinched their spot in the playoffs? K.. good to know that YOU know more than the people who get paid millions to make these decisions. Tell me again why you aren’t the one being paid to make these decisions.

Why risk it the next 3 weeks? Brennan can beat these teams. Oh that sounds dumb? No shite

NFL/=NCAA, and I can assure you basically every NCAA coach would go against your plan. What point did you think you were making again?

I don't want Bama again either (see 2012) but in no way, shape, or form would I want this team to roll over and take it up the arse in the SECCG to keep Bama out.

The only thing I wouldnt mind is that IF Bama gets in, they play someone else in the semis. That way, we exact revenge in the NCG.

It's alll moot anyway though.....they aint getting in!

Do you know that Brennan can beat them? 100%? Because we don’t have the playoff spot locked down yet. We likely will if we win out regardless of what happens in the SECCG.

That’s the point I’m making here. We won’t sit out players. It’s not going to happen even though it is statistically the smart thing to do. They do it in the NFL all the fricking time. Now why.. why would the NFL do that? Are they stupid for sitting key players when their spot in the playoffs is already locked up? Or is it the smart move to protect your assets for the playoffs?

Keep telling yourself that. There isn't a college coach in America that would agree with that.

In favor

I was on the no way should we have to play them again and maybe not. But they would be double digit favs in about every 1 loss matchup. So I could see them backdoor their way in. And Saban got embarrassed by Clemson. LSU could have blown them out and if there is a rematch the pressure will be huge for saban. With what he’s accomplished I coukd see him ? What else I need to do ? I’m getting old .. etc. so fk it let em come to playoff. Let’s crush their souls

BTW, Bama is NOT getting in over a 1-loss conference champion, either. That ship has sailed!

I agree, which is why LSU should have played conf champ Okie state in 2011. One problem with the BCS was it didn't give credibility to winning conf. Also should have been done in 2003 so LSU could have beat USC's arse and no split NC.

They do it all the time in the NFL.

Yeah, where a division winner is guaranteed a spot in the playoffs. There is no guarantee LSU gets in if they lose to Georgia. Why?

It’s absurd that it’s even in discussion that a 1 loss non conference champion team would get in over a 1 loss conference championship team.

lol....

We'll have a banner hanging for that SEC championship forever, and the players got a ring and will always have that as a concrete accomplishment.

For the record, if you ask a non-LSU SEC fan if it matters that LSU won the SEC, who fricking cares what they say? They'll diminish it because they didn't win it.

Ask the players and coaches if it matters.

I can tell you, after suffering through 1989-2000 as a fan, the sense of pride and accomplishment watching the 2001 LSU squad celebrate in the GA Dome was palpable. It is a big accomplishment to win this conference.
