Who are the top candidates during the Miles era who succeeded in college football after transferring?
Let's also go with basketball. Lester Earl?

I think you mean Stan Humphries...

Not much to chose from during the Miles era. Stan Humphries did well for himself after leaving LSU long before Les arrived.

Dez Bryant was a similar situation as well.
Barrington Edwards played at UNC, although he never really did a whole lot. He was an 03 recruit, but can't remember if he transferred after 04 or 05. I think maybe 04.
I feel like I'm forgetting someone though...

Rick Clausen?
He transferred when Saban was still here, hence his one career highlight against Miles in 05 on MNF post Rita

Didn't Hawkins come in with Bowe and Davis and to to JUCO after 04?

Someone already said it but definitely Lavelle Hawkins. He's in the nfl now, but he transferred during Saban era and it was only after a couple weeks of fall practice his first year, not the typical got buried on the depth chart after a couple years transfer.. Got home sick and saw he had an uphill battle to beat Early Doucet and Xavier Carter.
I can't recall any instance where we've had a player who couldn't earn his way onto the field under Miles being highly successful. Paul Turner, Ron Vinson, and David Jenkins have a lot of time to show up though.

I couldn't find his name on any LSU roster. I'm missing a couple years though. Was he on campus longer than a semester?
Edited: NM. Question answered above.

deangelo benton. he was never actually on the lsu team. he couldn't qualify, went to hargrave, then decommitted when we got rueben randle. and he didn't do shite in 4 years at auburn. he had 17 career catches, 323 yards, and 1 TD
