I was down about the Georgia game after we lost to the Aggies. He made a great point on his show yesterday saying don’t take going to the championship game for granted. He said you never know when you are going back and before 2019, we haven’t been since 2011. He brought up after being co-west champs in 1996 and 1997, we had to pull for Auburn in 96 and Bama in 97 in the iron bowl to go to our first SEC championship game and it didn’t work out both times.

We also needed Bama to beat Auburn in 2000 to go to Atlanta and failed us again. Since going to our first SEC championship game in 2001, this is our 7th time going and we should be proud of this team even though we have 3 losses. We also had 3 losses in 2001 our first time going to Atlanta and we were fired up! I don’t know if we are going to win vs Georgia but we should still be excited about the game after going through the last two years of LSU football.

I’m thrilled with the season but tbh it doesn’t seem like the SECCG is much of a prize bc I think we’re going to be bludgeoned. The team lacks depth and looks tired. It’s going to be a repeat of 2005.

I dont think anyone takes it for granted. But going into aTm LSU was a darkhorse and was about to blow it up vs the experts. We didnt want the high to end. We are back to reality and still this season is a good year for LSU. I think we can win but uga is gonna have to play like they did first half vs ga tech or like they did vs kent st. So maybe we catch them off. However i approach saturday with wanting to win but pressure is all on the dawgs to play well. Lets have fun knowing lsu is in the right direction from the cellar spot O left us in

The general lethargy on this board since Saturday is showing. This board was hot pre-Aggie game and now barely anyone is contributing to discussions.

Can’t blame them for taking a break but I’m excited to see how we stack up against the Dawgs

He’s not wrong. It’s usually the best game of championship weekend. I guarantee Georgia ain’t taking it for granted. I think it put a little stain on their season last year and they don’t want it to happen again.

If we win the game Saturday, the year 2022 will be on the scoreboard and fly on a flag in the stadium forever.

It's a big deal.

Gotta be honest: after being steamrolled by one of the worst teams in the SEC to close out the season, it's hard to get excited for a game against a team that is likely to clean our clocks even worse.

That said, I will be watching and hoping like hell we pull off a 2001-type miracle Saturday.

I do think the pressure is on uga. Can you imagine if they lose to us? We can beat them. I think we play really well. Their offense goes as their game manager qb goes. 40 finna eat and will be low scoring exciting imo but we have the tallest task of the season. Exciting !!

LSU CAN beat UGA. The running game is key to that happening. With a healthy Williams and IF Daniels isn’t afraid to take risks by letting it fly, yes they can win. Denbrock will also need to go 4-5 wide every set to force them to make a play. It is about being wide open and fast paced. Defensively,
with Bernard-Connor back I feel better about the game if we can put a safety or Perkins on that TE. Just say play and only cover that guy

Moscona doesn’t read TD, but he gets all his takes from TD. Go figure.

Since this is most likely the last time BJ and Roy play in a meaningful LSU game I hope they come ready to put their hand in the dirt one last time and play their asses off because that’s the only way we will stand a chance is to control their run game and put pressure on Stetson Bennett. Georgia’s defense is ridiculously good and is going to give Jayden problems, especially if his mobility isn’t 100% which I think is fair to say it won’t be with him being in a walking boot all week. He’s going to have make some big throws from the pocket and we will have to be able to run the ball enough to keep them honest. If there were a game for Boutte to play like the pre injury Boutte it would be this game.

We’ll all season it’s been a question of which LSU team will show up, (quite normal for a first season rebuilding year) and we saw who showed up last Saturday. But that doesn’t mean the other one won’t show up this Saturday. Enjoy the ride.
