Some people crown HS QBs as NFL ready...when they do, I immediately think they have no idea what they are talking about.

Burrow had statistically the worst Oline in football last year and what happened? Went to the Superbowl and almost won. Why? Pre snap reads!! Student of the game. Daniels is not that so why not go with QB's who can read quicker and get the ball out faster. Go look at some of the clips from the endzone and look at how soft the CB were playing us. Ill support the Tigers but it would be better for us to take our lumps now with Nuss or Walker.

Until Q4, why wouldn't you expect both to play?

We moved the ball when the middle opened up after they had a 14 pt lead. You'll see both QBs play in the next couple of games.

If Nuss can throw outside of the pocket, you have to look at him.

Why do you assume either Nuss or Walker would be better at reading the defense pre-snap?

these guys get paid by being interesting. the qb is the most interesting position. not sure why fans would get butt hurt over that. he's not trying to create controversy; he's trying to get paid.

He also had the best TWO WRs in CFB and the best RB. His O-line was far better than this shite show. I doubt even the savior that is Burrow could win a natty with this offense. Let the downvotes come, but that's my belief.

I just don’t understand how you watch that game and want to pull the QB.

His issues with reads weren't helped by the bad OL play. The playcalling could have been much better in the first half. I hope Denbrock learned that we will need tempo more that we did early in that game. read option would be nice too.

It was a fair question after the first half

So you spend countless hours evaluating your quarterbacks in the offseason, you decide on a starter a week before the first game, and then you pull that starter after 3 series, two of which he led the team inside the 10?

That's ridiculous.

It was a question, not a demand to make a change.

A lot of people thought Jalen Hurts would never play pro either. JD isn’t a bad passer, and he can definitely improve.

he was asking to stir shite, get clicks, and get the ever-present "bench the starter" class of CFB fans to tune into his garbage show.

Because he has a reputation as a giant shite stirrer? I’ve never gotten that impression from him at all.

Maybe so- good replies in this thread, I guess I have ptsd on how toxic this fanbase can be and don't want to see local guys pushing a narrative that will cause more division/issues than we already have.

If you’re a true fan then go rewatch the game in sky cast. Daniel’s was NOT the problem.

Not really. That is why assessing the QBs for months and months occurs, if you are going to pull after 1 half of football, why even worry about it.

I can appreciate that. I don't think it was a very good question, but it did shed some light on Kelly's thought process regarding the QB depth chart.

That said, it seems today it was a question with an agenda behind it. Is Moscana ranting that they need to play Nussmeier?

He usually posts the video for the questions he asks and most people wanted to know the answer to that question. There was one point where Nuss was casually tossing in the 2nd half.

No, and to my knowledge he hasn't said anything like that.

He opened up his show talking about QB play and discussing Daniels (when he was the absolute least of our worries, and certainly not worth leading the show off with).

Did you even listen to this? His WHOLE 1st segment was DEFENDING Daniels, saying how well he played and that he was the ONLY reason we were even in the game. He’s been on Team Daniels since Day 1, and his question, while fair, was more to defend Daniels than suggest he should have gone to Nuss. He got the exact answer he was hoping to get because it justified everything he’s been saying and everything he did say in that 1st segment yesterday.

You literally could not be more wrong with this thread regarding Moscona’s take. I cannot see how anybody could have listened to it and been more wrong than you are here. No matter what you think of Moscona, Daniels, Nuss, or Kelly, your interpretation of what Moscona said is just flat out wrong.
