what's most important is that we win. we are playing a ranked team. we will earn respect regardless of how we manage to win that game. and by year's end it won't matter.

I'm sure ABC ESPN loves this for their college football kickoff.

Yeah ESPN is kicking the cat on this one....

Sucks for LSU no win situation.

Win big, was because UNC had all the players out
Barely win, LSU sucks

7:30 eastern or central time? and for everyone saying that beating unc without a few of their best players sucks because everyone will say that's the reason we won. a win is a fricking win.

I don't care who plays. I just want a win. all wins count in the nc chase.

We can't control who we play when we schedule the games years ahead of time.

I bet ESPN is the one pissed, because it could affect the TV Ratings.

When will they announce any sort of repercussions (like what you mentioned, suspensions, no penalty, etc.?). DO we have to wait for the press conference?

Carolina has been very tight-lipped about what has been going on with the NCAA investigation, per the NCAA's request. If anything about this is revealed, or, leaked out, before the press conference, I would be very surprised.

I believe that UNC Chancellor Holden Thorpe is going to be at the press conference as well. To my mind, that says very serious repercussions are likely for any player found to have been involved with the possible academic infractions.

Again, just my thoughts, but, it might mean some players being outright expelled from the university altogether. If the players are guilty of what they are accused of, then they should be.

As for those not involved with the possible academic infractions, I would guess that those still under cloud from the NCAA will not play against LSU. Doing that could end up unfairly punishing the entire team for the misdeeds of a few.

Whether the like of Marvin Austin play vs LSU, or not, Carolina have no excuses when kickoff comes around. It will be up to the reserve players to step up, and, play well. If they do, we still have a chance to win. If they don't, then, we won't. Its as plain as that. This is Coach Davis' fourth season here, and, he should have established enough quality depth on the team by now.
