More than anything I'm amazed by Daniel's durability

He seems to have such a slight frame but he takes hard hit after hard hit and pops right up ready to run into the teeth of the defense again. That's one tough kid.

Mettenberger would have been crawling on the field after some hard hits. Not JD5.

The funny thing is that at this point, I don't get nervous when he gets laid out. I get nervous when he slides. That slide after his big scramble at the end of the game made me jump out of my seat and not unclench until I saw him get up and jog without a limp

I was trying to explain this exact thing to a friend earlier.

He is deceptively shifty and more athletic than he seems like at first.

He is so quick he is avoiding huge shots for the most part. Definitely part of it imo. Been saying since we played FSU……….Daniels is ELITE running the football as a qb.

Everyone tried to say this kid was going to die at his size against sec competition. People forget that this kid hasn’t missed a game in 3 1/2 seasons. He’s a machine.

after hard hit
He doesn't really take huge hits running the ball.
